team website

Postby woldham Thu Aug 25, 2011 6:33 pm

I'm looking to upgrade our current team website or build a new one and was wondering who other teams tend to use for their website builders etc? I've looked at moonfruit and our current site is with teamsnap which is ok but doesn't give any flexibility in design etc. Just after some views and advice really...

The UWIC AU website looks like it's been quite well built, why not ask the AU if you can have your page as part of that; some kind of www.uwicsu.co.uk/lacrosse or similar. That way they probably have loads of webspace, and no doubt the structure will already be there, you might even get some geeky help from the uni to set it up. That's what we're hoping to do this year, saves on setting up a whole website from scratch, and gives you a proper university affiliated web address. Most sports clubs don't seem to put stuff on the AU websites for uni's, so if you do it and get a link, or tab on the homepage, makes Lacrosse look like a massive sport to the niave fresher browsing the web.

Always worth an ask to see what the uni can do....

Best just to build your own using a content management system or framework.
