Rad Sheep Summer Lacrosse League (SLL)

July 2011 Wednesday evenings 6.30 face

Venue William Hulme Grammar School

Four team conference for men & four team conference for women

Team in each conference will play each other once.

Top 2 teams to play in each conference final remaining teams in 3 & 4 place play off .

Team will be made up from a player draft, individuals register position and experience.

4 games per team, each player will be given a team Playing Shirt.

Referee and umpire costs covered by individual registration fee.

Cost of Registration £30

Squad size limited to 16.

Rules

All team player must be registered with the League and the ELA at the start of the season.

Games will be played under normal English Lacrosse Rules with the following exceptions.

Womens

• Each game will be made up of four 15min periods with the clock stopping for all dead ball situations.
• Team will be made up of a maximum squad size of 16 for each game.
• If a game finishes in a tie the game will go into sudden death overtime separated into 5-minute periods, at the end of each period the teams will change ends.
• Teams will have three time-out available per game, one in each half and one that can be taken at anytime. No time-out will be available if the game goes into overtime.


Mens

• Each game will be made up of four 15min periods with the clock stopping for all dead ball situations.
• Team will be made up of a maximum squad size of 16 for each game.
• If a game finishes in a tie the game will go into sudden death overtime separated into 5-minute periods, at the end of each period the teams will change ends.
• Teams will have three time-out available per game, one in each half and one that can be taken at anytime. No time-out will be available if the game goes into overtime.
• If a team scores from outside a shooting arc two points will be awarded.
• Once in possession of the ball in it’s own half a team will have 10 seconds to clear the Ball over the half way line, if they fail to do this possession will be given to the other side with play starting from centre field.
• Once the ball is cleared a team has 8 seconds to get the ball into the restraining box, if a team take the ball out of the restraining box the 8 second count will start again. if they fail to do this possession will be given to the other side with play starting from centre field.
• Once cleared a team must keep the ball in the opposition half of the field. If they fail to do this possession will be given to the other side with play starting from centre field.
