Flags Results:

Portsmouth 2 - 10 Brighton

Brighton dominated possession and I reckon it was only a lack of shots that kept their side of the scorecard down to ten

Cardiff 10 - 7 Bath

Quarter time scores: 4-0;4-2;5-5;10-7
Scrappy first quarter with a lot of whistle-blowing, but settled into a very well fought game

Birmingham bt Loughborough (but I dunno the score)

Hampstead 13 - 5 Purley (I think)

bham beat lboro 12 - 7

a good game....bham took a good lead but lboro worked hard to draw around 1/2 time, bham pulled away in the last quarter with some outside shots! Lboro made us work for the win and was a good game

well done lboro for winning the league, but no double this year, bham could still do the double with the West and mids cup

Pompey never really kicked into gear in this game failing on the absolute basics and getting turned over a lot in the midfield/transition.

The score is probably not an accurate refection of the game on Pompey, A disappointing result to say the least but we were clearly beaten by the better team on the day who thoroughly deserved to win it. Congrats to Brighton!

and i think im Blind thanks to Grindle

I had a feeling brighton would win that game, i suspected brighton probably had greater passing and transitional play, largely due to their background in mixed.

Canterbury beat Royal holloway 5-1 today (edit! my clumsy typing) as well in a league match. Enthusiastic game, think both will have strong squads with a bit more experience! Some fairly renegade checking in places, but some good basic definitely emerging!

Lee Eddens had a great game for Brighton today and surely must have got the team MVP vote as he bagged at least 6 goals. Pompey were let down by the fact there were no slides in D which left the man 1 on 1 with the keeper or the slide came too late leaving a man wide open on the crease but they fought for the whole game and took their 2 goals well.

Cardiff came out strong in the first 1/4 with a couple of goals from Alan Croft straight away, Bath pulled things back in the 2nd and 3rd bringing the score back to 5-5 but the Quins just kept attacking and pulled away in the last 10 minutes. Think Alan finished the game with 4 goals.

Hampstead came out and quickly put Purley on the back foot with a goal in the first minute and unfortunately they just never recovered with the Hampters bagging another 5 or 6 in the first 1/4. Purley still fought till the end and am sure they will be disapointed not to have retained the flag but am sure they will be back there next year. Hamptead just showed class throughout and showed why they are the Prem Champs.

Well played to everyone who took part today, shame the weather didnt hold out.

Well done to Brum yesterday. You worked hard for the win, seemed like you wanted it a bit more and played better than us for more of the game. I don't feel that the final result reflects the whole game, but credit to Brum for shuting us out in the final quarter and taking a convincing lead.

Apologies from us for not making the presentation, our coach driver was being a noob saying we should have left at 3 and if we didn't leave straight away we'd be making our own way home!

Congratulations to Brighton on a fantastic first season. They have played with skill and spirit all season . Their attitude and conduct has been a credit to everyone involved and an example to others.

May they go on to higher honours.

A great day out at the flags. We certainly got in the spirit of things, fairly smashed.
Another good effort from Grindle, did he travel home like that?

Any chance you can enlighten me and any other forum browsers?

Mark, think Mankini

And I don't think you'll have had to watch Borat to have seen pictures of Borat wearing this.

If you image search for Borot you'll get the idea.

I'm sure there'll be some pictures up over the next couple of days anyway, which'll be nice.
