new d man

Postby Planolaxkid28 Sun Jul 15, 2007 10:03 pm

Hey whats up, I first started to play lax last year as a middie and this year ive decided to play defense. Its an odd transition for me passing wise and im looking forward to play some d this year. is there any advice anyone could give me on playing d. also ive seen alot of d men pass side armed is that a bad or good habit to get into and what are some good drills i can do on my own to get ready for this season?

look in the coaching section under 'd tips' and i'm sure there's loads of advice that you can use. If its just something specific just start a topic and i'm sure everyone will help you as much as they can!

for playing D, its really key to get your footwork & positioning right. upper body strength is pretty handy too. i'm sure there is a big post form UKLaxFan somewhere about skills for D, that was really good
The only time he takes his foot out of his mouth, is to put the other one in!
