Hollywood. Thats pretty sick you're going Salisbury but talking about dullness, i've heard from coaches that Salisbury isn't great for academics either. I mean if you're just going out there to play lacrosse then fair enough, congratulations but i'm just speculating. I'm also looking to go out to America but in 2010. I am going to a camp in June this year and have been in contact with some coaches. Hopefully goes well!

last year just under 100 players tried out for a spot on salisbury's roster, they take just over 40 of them. You have to do that every year. Thats a lot of money to spend for a maybe.
Academics has gotten better over time and so has there facilities but a lacrosse powerhouse in Maryland is going to attract a lot of potential players every year, all who couldn't get into the D1 schools.

Hey sorry for the long reply. I'm going to the TopStar Lacrosse camp at Gettysburg College in June. It was recomended to me by current and previous coaches and looks to be pretty good. In terms of colleges contacted; I haven't really contacted many but I am joining a scholarship agency that will help me to sort out all of the problems and will contact coaches and ask them to go to the camp. I've been in contact with the Head Coach from Towson but of course I just hope for any kind of offer, being such a good school. Hopefully after I've been to the camp I may get some offers!

it is never too late for a player to go over to the US. You can go over in January if you wanted to, which gives you time to find a school, contact the coach and go through the process.

if you feel your grades are letting you down. There's always the option of Junior College (JuCo) to begin with, then looking to move onto a full uni.

Tommy Brooks has gone down that route. If you have his contact details you could ask him about his experience.

if you are looking to go to college always look for the 4 year option first, keep the JUCO option to a last resort. The reason being is that when you transfer from a 2 year to a 4 year you will receive less financial aid and the way the economy is the option for scholarships are limited because everyone wants money. If you do go to a JUCO make sure it is a good JUCO higher in the ranks as not all 4 year coaches look at JUCO players especially at schools where coaches are part time and have not many on the roster. There is a place for everyone but make sure you cover all options.
If you need any help i am more than happy to help, just PM me.
