Haha good point Git! Hadn't really thought about that.
What amuses me the most is that they are still frustrated by the retention of the ball. When they originally proposed the new stick rules for NCAA, Warrior specifically told them that widening the throat but allowing that measurement higher up the head would not facilitate the ball being checked out of the stick. They suggested that it might even help retention ... but the NCAA wouldn't listen and were scornful of any advice! They then incorporated the rule to allow 6" width at the scoop which was again a nonsense, which coupled with the other measurements led to Warrior/ Brine X6 versions which are even more like box heads.

I quite like the man-down face off rule where you have to keep your offensive and defensive players restrained.

Also gettin rid of the horn for subs is sensible IMO.

The rest are just bumph.

"Tape may not be added to the throat of the crosse of the player taking a face"

So we'll see specialist grippy shafts and gloves - ideal for the manufacturers.
I was once part of the winning Pop Lacrosse team that defeated Wigan in the 1992 Greater Manchester Youth Games.

Face-off guys tape the throat so the ref cannot see the player holding the plastic of the head itself, which of course is illegal.

I haven't read the link but I assume that they have implemented the 5-goal-ahead-free-clear-rule?
