Liverpool 11 - 1 Lincoln

Numbers still a bit thin on the ground for Liverpool at the moment with only 10 lining up for the team in red. A much more competitive game than the score line may suggest, with Lincoln making several fast breaks and moving the ball around nicely. Liverpool stepped it up in the 2nd, and probably played their best team lacrosse of the season, scoring 5 very well worked goals to give them the breathing space see out the second half.

Pleasure to ref, both team's discipline immaculate and nice weather!

Good luck in the semi final tomorrow Lincoln, see you next week!

Trig will you ever get to play Stockport ? You obviously have some problem and happy to undermine the club using this forum.

As the referee today said " it is not the referees job to make the game equal if the opposition are not conditioned or skilled to cope with any team better prepared"

Would you agree, if not why not? I'd welcome to discuss face to face at the flags weekend regardless of whether we get there or not. May be MG could introduce us.

Mistaking us for Stoke?? How can you miss our fluorescent yellow kit! Ha

Really enjoyable game, our players haven't stopped singing Liverpools praises (especially the guy who bought us two pitchers of beer!). Good competitive game well officiated - thought both keepers need a special mention too. See you next week.

Not sure this is relevant on stockportlaxforums, but Poynton beat Wilmslow in the prem.

Shame for us as one I'd hoped we could pick up points from, especially as Boardman seem to be stringing together a good run.

Wilmslow a beat Cheadle in the cup, looks like we've got Mersey in the final.

Looking forward to it.

Just looking at results, seems that Mersey's A B & C teams are all through to finals with the firsts to play Cheadle next week.

Great stuff from the club as a whole.

Boardman 7 Wacs 6, Boardman scored the winner with 3 seconds on the clock.

Boardman didnt go behind in the game until the last 1/4, excellent game, well reffed and played in a good spirit.

Well done to both sides.

You've done well the last few weeks; really pulled away from the bottom of the table. 3 wins in the last 4 isn't it?

Think we play you next week; should be a good game.

Unfortunately I will not be at the Flags Festival tis year as i am being dragged away on holiday!

I suggest that Mr D and YT, both attend the Senior Final wearing a green carnation and carrying a copy of Love in a Cold Climate. I am sure at their first meeting all will be resolved and affection will blossom.

Yes, I'm actually going to watch 2 premier teams if I can make it over. Don't quite understand your point, perhaps it will come to me eventually.

I hope I enjoy the game, just like I've enjoyed many premier games over the years. Lets hope the final is more enjoyable for the spectators than it was last year.

Yes agree, pity only 1 team turned up.
Stockport fans certainly enjoyed it along with many others. The quality and performance was outstanding from start to finish, probably the most complete performance in the way they blew away a quality Cheadle side away.
Obviously if you were supporting the losing team I can understand your feelings but was the standard of lacrosse to your liking.
