Out of action for a year

I've just dropped out of uni down in Pompey and there's no clubs within a reasonable travelling distance of me, so I'm on my own lacrosse-wise until next year.
However, I'm planning to get a few friends together and head over to Amsterdam for Beach Lacrosse in the summer, no matter how badly we do .
Apart from wall ball, can anyone suggest any ways to up my game by myself? Thanks.

Cheers for the help, but I forgot to mention that home for me is Shropshire!
Nearest club is Birmingham at about 60 miles and the suggestions for starting up Chester Lacrosse again have fallen on mainly deaf ears unfortunately.

I consider 60 miles to be reasonable travelling distance for matches! But I guess less so if your not working or don't have transport!

Best suggestion I've got is try and get a rage cage, do some practicing and try and get a few converts to lax from your mates.

I'm more than happy to travel 60 miles for matches, but for training every week it's too far, especially working nights and riding a temperamental 30 year old Yamaha as well .
Not a bad shout on the rage cage tbh, I'll see what I can do next payday.

first time i've ever heard of these, are they actually any good? My first thought was surely it'd break really easily. Was mildly reassured by the fact they had a video of it 'taking abuse' then not reassured when I noticed he's not shooting very hard in the demo...

How much did it come to with shipping etc?

From a long-term point of view, I'd say a rage cage would probably be the best idea, as they can be used in games. While the Bownet seems like a great idea for backyard lax, when it comes to playing in real games, you'd have to buy some new goals.

Edit - looks like an interesting option. Don't think it would be game legal but more sturdy than the bownet.... http://www.laxgoals.com/

first time i saw it i too was unsure as it looks abit flimsy but it is really rigid and honestly can take alot of abuse, would not break easily! and no, i very much doubt its game legal!
also the england team have been using them and theres have held up well considering the hours off abuse it takes each week. as far as i am aware they are still goin strong and havent broke in anyway.

er with regards price the rage cage B-100 is only £175 (or was when i got one) and you can get them in England from Ray Harry and for that you get a pretty much proper goal.
