Re: Results - 05 March 2011
I cant believe there are 5 pages on this thread I played for Spencer in this game, speaking for myself, I don't think there is any problem with the second or third people getting called for a stick check in this situation, they should of cut them shorter - although we didnt actually have a tape mea...

Re: Results - 05 March 2011
Reading 2 v Spencer 2 Can I just understand this, please. So Spencer scored on three occasions and each time the Reading Captain called a stick check? Yes, one of Readings Captains called them (Not me), they only called three, all were succesful/correct calls. Why are stick checks being called? It ...

Re: Results 19/02/11
Guidance last year was that borderline players could move up & down with no problems - as long as you can prove they genuinely are borderline The problems earlier this season were both cases where the clubs fell foul of a secondary rule that when 1st team has no game anyone who's played in 2 out...

Re: Referees
They use this model in Canada and the US as well. Referees travel to the site and do 2 or 3 games. Makes it worthwhile to give up a day. Gee why not increae the squad sizes and have teams play two games a day. Season is over in half the time. Shortage of light as we play a winter sport to have team...

Some by car, some by train I think.
when they came to us they came in style - nice big bus with PS3's and a fridge that could only hold 150 odd beers

Re: County Championship 14 May 2011 Reading -West Glamorgan
Still no news on weather Cardiff uni or uwic players can enter. Although in asking I've found out that Selma didn't know Cardiff uni had a team! They only left the league 18 months ago! Seems strange that of the uni's in south Wales that the only one mentioned is the only one never to have played i...

Not sure about uwic or Cardiff uni as they are not ELA registered clubs. I will check.. However uwic players can enter through penarth club and I assume Cardiff uni players can become Quins members and register through them. Check with the respected teams Vod they'll be ELA registered as playing in...

Re: Results - 22nd January 2011
re the travel malarky we hosted a Southampton vs Aber game in Cardiff a year or two ago (think a double header league not flags though), as both teams discussed it and decided it would be better to meet in the middle than travel 5+ hours each way All well and good moaning on here about the distances...

Re: Recent Letter to all Clubs
Guys, For all of you who are on the SEMLA dist list, you'd have noticed the email from Trevor regarding the recent disciplinary issues. My question followig this is: Is it a reasonable punishment for both player and club (3 match ban and 4 points deduction, abeit 2 are suspended), considering prece...

Check the insurance cover before you sign up - it is still not recognised by the ELA. No-one person is against the Summer League - but make sure you're not taking in to pay your hard earned dosh before you know what you are buying and from whom. If the description sent out to referees is anything t...

Re: Lacrosse Goals
I agree with Dave & Trig on this one - there are so many different cases that so long as both goals are the same then there shouldn't really be a problem. Yes rebounds from the ground pipe happen, and sometimes a goal is given, and other times not, but when this is a problem which has a high pri...
