Re: Centurion SEMLA Sixes

I see why it's not popular anymore.

Even if you win every game,, you'll still end up playing less than 80mins of lacrosse.

In my eyes that's not really worth the travel, cost, or the whole day.

Re: Centurion SEMLA Sixes

Sixes used to be a great day out.

Preferred it at Cryodon rather than blues though.

What's happened to it? Do people not value it any more?

Re: SEMLA Structure for the 2012/13 Season

I think, given the amount of concessions and rearranged fixtures this year, it is fair to assume that while we remain a winter sport we will be at the mercy of winter weather. This being the case, I think that OUTSIDE the prem we need to do one of two things: a) lengthen the season so that more wee...

Re: Results: 24/3/12

Not just East 3, it * seems * like there were more conceded games in East 1 and 2 this year too. Several games left to play in the West divisions.... it will be interesting to see the fixture secretary's report this year and compare the figures for conceded games to last year. I thought E1 was stro...

Re: Results: 24/3/12

Ridiculously early one and bitter about it: Chichester have conceded to Reading 3's Why don't you have a chat with your captain and find out about any conversations we've had? If you still feel bitter about how early we conceded then I'll be happy to explain more publicly. Lol at all the concedes i...

Re: Predictions 11th Feb

Considering that in-land it's been below freezing every night, and likely to be -5c and -11c on the weekend, can't see many games going ahead unless on artificial pitches.

We train on concrete normally. It's certainly not usual to play on concrete in canada, so i'm not sure what all the fuss is about.

Re: Clutch vs proton power

You can't go far wrong with either of them, the torque is another one to consider - all 3 are excellent heads. Great for ball retention if strung properly and excellent on ground balls. I'd try not to do too many faces with them though as while they start out pretty solid, they tend to loose that ri...

Flags just isn't valued at all in this part of the world. It's like the equivalent of the Football League Cup

IIRC Cochester decided not to turn up for last year' final

Re: Shooting through

I have seen it happen twice and in both cases it was horribly obvious. Thankfully the 2nd time the player throwing the ball missed his intended target. We play a sport where, though uncommon, people have died from being hit by shots so for someone to deliberately do it is disgusting and I would str...

Re: Shooting through

surely it's the defenders fault for getting in the way of the shot. If they don't like they have the option of moving away. If the ball hitting them hurts so much then maybe they shouldn't play the game.

Substantially does not mean all. It would be unreasonable to expect the common man to understand substantially as meaning all, when the actual dictionary definition does not allow it to do so. So this is open to interpretation. If the actual meaning behind the rule is ensure that mesh is all one col...

If Bournemouth stick around, they could develop very well, like Brighton did a few years ago.

Re: Results 22 Oct

Loads of flags games this weekend. Nobody even cared enough to do predictions, and some teams don't even care enough to turn up to the final.

Did Hitchin A have 10? they looked well organised last week.
