Hillcroft A 8-10 Reading A

Very closely fought game that could have gone either and I had money on overtime half way through the 4th quarter.

Pleasure to referee on a great astro pitch.

Maidstone 2s 5 v 18 Brighton

Closer game than the scoreline suggests. Both teams created chances but Brighton were perhaps a bit more clinical with their finishing. Having said that, the Maidstone keeper made a string of impressive stops and certainly did not have a bad game at all.

there seems to be a lack of results recently... perhaps a second consecutive "wettest January on record" has put a lot of games off. Looking forward to finally playing a game in the next few weeks.... 2 months without a lacrosse game sucks.

Can I start a vote to keep Hampstead in the premier division regardless of where they end up in the league?

Why?... if theyre struggling, maybe a season in east1 will give them a chance to rebuild and consolidate..

Good idea, Whitey.

Hampstead have an excellent Central London ground close to where I live. We should be building a structure to minimise travel and emulate the success of the north west in expanding the game.

Chop EG or Bristol for me much too far to travel!

Clearly not a serious suggestion, it would just be really sad to see the demise of an institution in English Lacrosse.

In reality, if Hampstead end up in a play-off I'm sure they could pull a reasonable team together. However, if bt hey were to be regelated we could anticipate some sad times.

As for losing Bristol and making it a East and West Premier Division, now there's a reasonable suggestion to discuss!
