A load of beginners on both sides but no lack of commitment and was quite a physical game, I had to tell the captains to calm the guys down after the 3rd quarter, but they did it and it was generally fun to referee.

Don't often do this but a MoM vote from me goes to Holloway no 41. I assume it was his 1st or 2nd game as a player. He certainly did not know how to face...but his fitness, physicality and surprisingly deft handling at times caused problems to the blues all afternoon. Huge potential there. Sorry I did not get a chance to have a chat at the bar and tell you so face to face.

Some interesting results in the Prem this week. Just saw on the website that EG lost 20-2 to Hampstead.

Can anyone shed any light on this? Hampstead's results seem to have been solid but unspectacular up until now.

Cheers to Welwyn for the game. Took them a while to get going but they have a lot of talented youngsters. Its early on in the season but looks like it's going to be a dog fight from 3rd all the way down to 10th.
