Wow Blues got spanked!
Re: Results 27th Oct
Guess Spencer will be looking for another goalie, after all Rick Bone's now let 10 goals in so far this season, that's a massive 2.5 goals per game!

Ouch. No need to be rude!
It was a fun game, good natured throughout, very nice bunch of guys. Welwyn never really got going, but EG had some great finishes.
Is that the easiest nibble ever?
Not rude, just a decent history of good aggressive competitive games over the last 8 years. Welwyn are probably ahead on wins in that time, so...
Always nice to see EG beat Welwyn. (from my impartial point of view)

Brighton 8 v 5 EG seconds
Very balanced game, both teams struggling to groundball effectively on a boggy pitch. Brighton fielding four freshers who acquitted themselves well, EG hampered by some of their team arriving late. Tom McLarnon scored three for EG in the third quarter to draw level at 5 all going into the last 20 minutes, but Brighton's superior numbers just edged it.
Always a great fixture between these two clubs, looking forward to the return fixture.

Spencer clinical in both attack and defence. Blues poor by their own admission. If spencer keep up this form I can't see anyone beating them.
The only area blues had any control was on face where Dave Howie had a great game.

Reading 3's 5 - 18 Oxford University. 3 - 7 at half time. Great play from Newbies on both sides kept the game interesting but Oxford had a number of experienced players who made the difference. Thanks to Oxford for coming over and starting as an 8 aside game whilst Reading sorted out some kit issues. More fair play in East 3.

Hllcroft 'A' vs Reading 2s was I believe around 9-2 to Reading.
Hard fought game but overall Reading were the better side. It really shows the quality of E1 nowadays that Pete Clayton and Dave Bailey were lining up in opposing defences!
Always a pleasure to play at Reading.
Unfortunately one of our players stick went missing while we were in the bar, it's an f15 long pole with an STX X10 head. Given there were four teams it could have been picked up by mistake. Any news on this would be very welcome.
