Spencer beat Hillcroft 15 to 8

good to see Hillcroft are much better than last year. Spencer were without the entire 1st team defense but the guys that stepped up played well.

Spencer 2nds beat Caterbury 30 to 5

also heard that Blues lost to Wellwyn by a single goal can anyone confirm.

Cambridge 15 - 1 Hitchin A

Weakened Hitchin side, scored in the last 30 seconds to deny us a shut out!

Purley 9 - 6 East Grinstead

Quarter Time Scores

Purley 4 - 5 East Grinstead - East Grinstead won quarter 4-1
Purley 5 - 6 East Grinstead - Quarter drawn 1-1

Very enjoyable game to referee, played very competitively in good spirit. East Grinstead had the lead for a good 50 minutes out of the 80.

Fun game in good weather. Fairly dramatically changed cougars team from last year as pre-game rumours had suggested. Defensive unit was pretty solid, but a lot of the experience had gone from the middle and attack, but there was some good hustle and movement and i reckon it shouldn't take to long to gel and rebuild!

Cheers for a good game! Roll on the big derby vs Pompey next week!

wow... i thought soton might take this but didnt expect a scoreline like that!

Reading 2's 3
Brighton 8

Some positives to take out of this but generally a lot to work on... We were poor in possesion which will need to be improved for future weeks, the ball was thrown away far too much which ment for a hard game in D with the majority of possesion in our own half. Having said that, we worked hard, hussled well and defensively we performed much better in the 2nd half.

Bath 7 Hitchin 14 (I think)
Bath 2nds 13 UWIC 4

More solid play from Bath, always slow starters as they don't have training facilities pre season

2nds had a big squad (21) game was very competative, albeit rough at the edges. Both teams fielded a lot of new freshers, some of which had only been introduced to the game 24hours before.
