At this year's annual general meeting of the European Lacrosse Federation, a new board has been voted into office. One of the actions agreed at the AGM was to establish a working group for the future of the European Championships, specifically which options exist to organise it and run it. We are also looking at how to run the Champions cup (Ken Galuccio Cup for Mens) in the best possible manner.
As VP Men I am part of that group and wanted to quickly publish a few things:
- a report with a broad overview of the available is planned to be published for late August
- at the 2013 AGM, the board will inform all NGBs about what options exist
There are also other opportunities to get involved with the game. A working group on the future of coaching qualification is currently being formed, please see the ELF's page (www.europeanlacrosse.org) for details. We are also looking for more volunteers to get involved, in particular for delivering camps next year.
If you have comments or queries regarding this, then please do feel free to get in touch via email to vpmen at europeanlacrosse.org, I would be excited to hear from you.
Any talk about the 2012 Euros in here please.
