Summer term Lacrosse

I'm going to get this started early so things actually get organised:

League is over and we all still want to play lax. Therefore friendlies and friendly tournaments are all we have after tour (BNC aside).

At york we have a mens, mens 2nds, womens, womens fresh and mixed team. We have access to one (two at a push) pitches and changing rooms in York, or the ability and willingness to travel.

Its always good to schedule a guys and girls or first and seconds game together if possible ... men play first and then get lashed in the sun watching the second match.

We get back a week later, and some of us may have exams. We go on tour on monday, so I can talk to the guys and find out if we can get a team out in the last weekend of April.

Do you have a mixed team too? We have a big mixed game the weekend after and could do with a warmup.

Mens is most important though.

Speaking as mixed vice captain I can safely say f**k the "big" mixed game. We also have a "big" men's game the same weekend worth equal points and Lancaster are as yet an unknown quantity.

I'd say men's takes definite priority; we won't have played together for 4 weeks by the time it gets to Roses. Get a game in beforehand for sure...

Ok no probs, ill check with the guys also we dont have a mixed team and we the womens team refuse to socialise/talk to us really so its hard to organise anything involving that team lol

We also will be looking for friendlies over the next few months. We get back to uni on 31st March. We have a two mens teams, one pitch and 6qualified refs!!!Changing rooms, beers and maybe food also available. Willing to travel, but not until after the 16th April as we are currently on an AU-wide travel ban.

We have capacity for womens and mixed as well, I can give details for these people!

Not the 30th Steve. It's two days before roses and we'll need the pitch to practice on and jack/stash to play so you'll have no refs or transport. Maybe consult the rest of the club before you go arranging fixtures yeh?

As men's captain elect, I'm making a decree that all intraclub banter should remain that way: intra-club. Seconds you are annoying enough already on the club mailing lists, please refrain from sending inane messages via laxforums as well.

Feel free to organise matches after consulting your seniors. That is all.
