Who's got it coming up and who are you against?

We (bangor) will be hoping to snatch a win from Abersyswyth uni after our loss last year.

I think the Cardiff - Swansea one is 2nd May in the capital

Always a cracker; only one or two goals separating it each year

Nottingham beat Nottingham Trent 14 - 13 today in the first lacrosse varsity between the unis in what i have heard is the largest Student Varsity event in the country including, Football, Rugby Ice Hockey, Hockey, Netball etc.

Game was an absolute belter and a great advert for student lacrosse. Trent led thoughout and were 3 goals up with 7 mins to go. Uni scored the winner with less than a minute left on the clock.

fantastic game, and a large crowd there to cheer on their team! oh and there was media there too! (NTU media team i think and maybe another).

Plymouth 12 - 1 Marjon.

Good fun game with plenty of passion on show. With lots of us graduating this year winning varsity was nice way to finish the regular season.

I would have to agree. How many other varsities have their boat race on national TV and their Varsity rugby at Twickenham. They even send "colleges" teams to play each other as well as the regular university teams.

Notts might technically be the largest by number of sports/teams but it certainly isn't in terms of coverage/spectators.

Biggest?
Great that they got a handfuL of sports on the same day but...varsity boat race on the Thames - the bank is a pretty impressive sight - especially if you count the 'spectators' in pubs on the Thames. And twickenham rugby also impressive.

As for number of sports (and perhaps a few 'non sports'!) there are about 100 contested varsity matches between Oxford and Cambridge.

Can confirm that the Ice Hockey is the largest indoor varsity event outside USA.

I think it's the largest CHARITY series. As in all proceeds go to charity and our varsity out of most raise the most monies.

That being said other than Oxford and Cambridge (Rugby and Rowing) There aren't many other varsity events I've been to which UoN vs Trent hasn't out done in spectator events.
