I'll go for a team without EG players to start the ball rolling, I'm sure I've missed out a few obvious players, especially some of the Hampstead guys who's names I have no idea of...

GK - Darryl Swarts (Reading)
D - Kyle Witt (Welwyn)
D - Dean Searle (Purley)
D - Brad Selig (Hampstead)
LSM - Alan Keeley (Spencer)
F/O - Dave Howie (Reading)
M - Matt Bagley (Blues)
M - Will Walker (Spencer)
M - Mike Barrett (Purley)
A - Dave Leach (Hitchin)
A - Dustin Coombe (Spencer)
A - Jon Noel (Hampstead)

A good a balanced side, but as always when a South All-Star team is suggested... not the youngest team ever.

Wow - Whitey

No Baggers in there - Probally replace Billy with Baggers if it was me - other than that pretty good side.

McDermott will be a tough one to leave out too.

I knew that I'd missed someone! I'll move Dennis out and slot Bagley in.

I've opted to exclude LDOs...

GK - Conrad (Spencer)
D - Jon Arthurs (Blues)
D - ~Kyle Witt (Welwyn)
D - Raph Daste
LSM - Alan Keeley (Spencer)
F/O - Matt Birkett (Blues)
M - Matt Bagley (Blues)
M - Will Walker (Spencer)
M - Mike Barrett (Purley
A - Hajimse (excuse spelling) (Spencer)
A - Dustin Coombe (Spencer)
A - James Kidd (Blues)

Iv tried to opt for a more youthful team whitey - but having watched mike last weekend, I couldn't take him out of the team. He held that Purley team together!!

apologies to the hampstead team - i dont usually see you play so have prob missed out some great players!

Had another think and here is the Dream Team

GK - Darryl Swarts (Reading) Big guy, That has a reflex of a cat on speed!
D - Andy Behels (Spencer) Great leadership and communication skills very quick and superb stick. Spencer didnt lose a game when he played.
D - Mike Goodman (Spencer) Getting on a bit but he is the biggest hitter in the league bar none.
D - Short stocky American....... played last couple of seasons? (Hampstead) Solid and Great stick skills
LSM - Welwyn LDO , Gold helmet (Welwyn) This guy is the reason Welwyn had such an impressive season. All over the field, Faced off and even in their Man up
F/O - James Mittchell (Hampstead) Love to play against this guy, awesome skill ,great stick protection. Hampsteads go to guy
M - Matt Bagley (Blues) Will always score 2 to 3 goals a game.
M - Will Walker (Spencer) After bulking up a bit over the last season,in my opinion best allround middy in the South.
M - Stanford (Hitchin) Great at face off plus big part of Hitchin attack improves every time I see him play.
A - Chris Elia(Spencer) The most Chilled out Lax player ever our top goal scorer
A - Dustin Coombe (Spencer) Scored some of the sweetest individual goals I've seen in a long while.
A - Steve Mcdermot (Hitchin) Great passer and Finisher

On so here is my two pence worth, not that anyone really cares too much.

Firstly with no LDO's:

GK - Paul Terry - Purley - Still the best british goalkeeper in the league in my opinion. Conrad is up there too but for me PT has it sealed

D - Chris Bishop - Hitchin - A massive influence on the field. Will do everything asked of him and will guard the toughest attackman in a heart beat
D - Short American - Hampstead - Can't think of his name but he is a seriously solid pole who rarely makes mistakes
D - The Virginia Guy - Hampstead - Normally plays long pole but plays D as well. Fast, aggressive pole who will not let you settle the ball down

LSM - Alan Keeley - Spencer - Strong, athletic and gets right in your face. Just what you want on your wing and in D

FO - Dave Howie - Reading - Big, strong and getting better and better. Most improved face off man I have seen this year

M - Matt Bagley - Blues - Baggers is a nightmare to play against and a dream to have on your side. Dishes out more than he scores and thats a lot....
M - Rhod Stanford - Hitchin - You wouldn't like to come up against him, he is a great face man and a very strong middie who will come right for you
M - Will Walker - Spencer - Has improved his game so much this year, very dangerous when shooting on the run and is not afraid to get involved

A - David Leach - Hitchin - You can argue with the guys ability, near impossible to mark one v one and will not stop coming at you all game
A - Dustin Coombes - Spencer - One of the hardest guys to mark out there. Never stops moving and if you blink you can guarentee he is going to goal
A - Mike Noonan - Hampstead - Old head but my god can he finish the ball. Shoots from everywhere on attack and is a real pain to cover because of that

Honourable mentions, I couldn't find enough spaces to fit these guys in but they are defo on my list:
Matt Birkett - Blues - Improving every season and has seriously shown an impressive step up this year. Big lad who is very hard to deal with all over the field
James Mitchell - Hampstead - Still an amzing player, shame his other commitments mean he is not always available to make it out there

Ones to watch for the future:
James Kidd - Blues - Seriously quick and has great stick protection. Once he gets confident enough in going to goal - dangerous!
Ryan Walker - EG - Improving very fast indeed, confidence is growing and be a part of the Welsh set up this year will help him no end

And now for the LDO insertion:
GK - Darryl Swarts - Reading - In my opinion, the reason Reading were so solid this year. A brick wall at the back
D - Chase Safarowic - Welwyn - The guy in the gold helmet. Strong, aggressive pole who makes life very difficult whilst controlling the rest of the D
D - Short American - Hampstead
D - The Virginia Guy - Hampstead
LSM - Alan Keeley - Spencer
FO - Dave Howie - Reading
M - Matt Bagley - Blues
M - Rhod Stanford - Hitchin
M - Dennis McKenna - Purley - So difficult to cover, a solid defender and seems to have more energy when hungover than sober!
A - Chris Elia - Spencer - Working along side Dustin, they are an awsome pair to try and keep an eye on
A - David Leach - Hitchin
A - Dustin Coombe - Spencer

Young attack lad - Blues - Think he plays #10, seriously quick and has great stick protection. Once he gets confident enough in going to goal - dangerous!

Blues have been really fortunate to have some really talented 16/17 yr olds on their side this season, all of whom are only in their first full year of senior lacrosse, first season of premiership lacrosse, and 3rd season of lacrosse at all!!
4 of them are going out to play at a camp in the states this summer, which will be nothing but beneficial to their game.
These lads are deffo names to watch and will be in those dream teams in future years!!!

James Kidd (South Selection '09)
Lewis Arnold (South Selection '09)
