Blues 6 Hampstead 10

Greg pretty much summed the game up. It was another one of those close games which we failed to win.

However we did create a huge amount of chances which for various reasons failed to convert, including the outstanding work of John Shey in the pipes for Hampstead. Based upon the number of chances we created and spaces we made in attack it shows that if we keep playing the way we are the results will come. Shame there is only one match left this season.

As always with Hampstead it was a great game and good fun in the bar afterwards - especislly for Scots like me with the Calcutta Cup on the big screen.

One thing though Hampstead - those new helmets make it harder to pick out "Old Skool" - bring back the Baccarach and the High Wall.

Good luck in the Flags Final next week and congratulations on winning the UKLacrosse Premiership this season.

How old do you think I feel playing two games in two days?

Well done to the Southampton City lads for a game played in good spirit and in with some good fun. Good luck with your continued development and ground hunting.

Only down side was that Schooey got 4 goals and was still going on about it 4 hours after the game in the bar. That and the take away check he put in on Shiraz in the Hampstead game on the Saturday means we've had enough of his dolcit Northern tone this weekend.

Your goalie did alright Tom - just needs to work on his footwork a bit more - get Hatman to work with him.

footwork-see earlier comment about footwear.

Henry has, I think a lot of potential and is already a decent keeper despite still being at school. He works regularly with Hatman and Blake so we look forward to continued improvement.

I agree he has a lot of potential - that's why I spent 5 minutes chatting to him after the game to encourage and assist.

I'll try not to let it rain next time so he desn't have to slide around the crease - I am sure that would help to.

Ha, I'm mot the oldest on the Bath side :) Cornelius is 3 months way older than me :) And did Balantine use the word "play" in that sentence, I'm confoozed?

I think I might start a new "spot the difference thread", put up a picture of Biscuits and Beanz :)

I mean a bit of facial hair here and there and a pie eating diet voila :)

I am looking forward to West one next season, maybe Swansea should come join the fun, haha.

Looking back it's funny that Bristol beat cardiff but conceded to Bath and Cheltenham beat Bath but conceded to Cardiff
And if the weather carries on like this over the next few weeks the rec will be under water, and the Cardiff game will need to be played.
