don't think so

It becomes a lot more complicated! make sure you don't draw that game!

all on 36 points?

Nottingham beat loughborough twice
Loughborough beat birmingham twice
Birmingham beat Nottingham twice.

So you would effectively have a perfect triangle. I'm only guessing. I reckon you should organise your own play offs! Or not draw that match!

I imagine you would apply the test sequentially to eliminate third place first. Though i mucked up my maths when i attempted this! (and made brum the winner!). Thinking about it all teams would have 11 wins, but birmingham and Nottingham a draw (and a no show each). But as no weight is attached to a draw in those rules,

a three sided coin it is.

Otherwise i hope semla have a threesided coin!

As i said, only speculation and not a passed on formal determination of the rules or anything

The Only other way I can see to do it (with out additional games!) would be to add up the goal differences of all 4 games involving, these three teams and seeing who had the best goal difference in there. But that would be a tad unfair as there have been some concessions in there. And either way i can't be arsed to work out who the winner would be!

Hmm actually you shouldn't because i'm a jibbering idiot, because i missed a loughborough win out of the equation! see edit!

3 sided coin it is, unless someone better at maths/or rules than me can work it out!

Quins 10- Bombers 12 I think.
Lack luster performance from the quins.
rather disorganised, and bombers capitolised on this.
Bombers ball movement and work ethic was good, and left quins wanting in many areas of the pitch.
Disappointing way to end the league, but everyone has to have an off day
Bombers were the better team on the day.
Well done lads

Have been informed Lufbra 8 Warwick 5.

Which I think means Lufbra have won the League by 2 points. Well done Lads and just waiting on Notts results to see who is 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

East Coast V Brighton - East coast win (think final score was something like 12-4, await confirmation)

It was nice to have a team of 11 men for a change :)

Anyway.

If you want to continue banter about the rules of the midlans league for winners start a new thread.

Results only please or ill get delete happy :)

Hawks = 3

Reading = 11

Best team won on the day.

Our all round defence was not up to scratch, and our attack didn't respect the goalie taking bad angle and week shots.

Reading out played the hawks deffensivley and offensivley, but i think the hawks were the better side in midfield.

Good game all round.

I'm pissed because my new helmet that took 4 months to get here got broken!! Ad Hoc DIY tomorrow me thinks :)

Oh and a big thanks to Trevor for reffing who did a great job. Thank you :)

Bristol Uni 4 - Ports 4

I'd struggle to say portsmouth played well, we're down a lot of players due to injury and bristol looked like a very well drilled team taking full advantage of the man up situations. We pulled the last goal at the last min to equalize which was a relief. But they really gave us hell. Well played guys.

East Coast 10-3 Brighton

East Coast put out something approaching a team today and actually had sub, not bad considering we've played 5 matches with 9 or less :( Brighton fought hard and well but just wasn't their day against a strong east coast.

The Spencer result makes things interesting, we now need then to do us a favour last game of the season.

Bath Uni 7 - 6 Cardiff Uni

Very good game to play in, hard hits and some good work by both sides.

We had the majority of possesion but couldn't convert it into as many goals, we started to play some really nice posession play in the 3rd but they had better legs in the final few minutes.

It was a lot of our teams last games and quite possibly Bath Uni's last ever run out in the SEMLA league, nice way to finish my time with the team.

Ports played very badly and bristol played very well with only one man on the bench.
ticky game to referee.

Portsmouth 4 - 4 Bristol

Q1 2-1
Q2 1-1
Q3 0-1
Q4 1-1

Cheers for bristol for making the trip down!

Ho Ho so Bath still in the driving seat in a day of suprises. Quins must be kicking themselves.

Anyway Blues 6 - 10 Hampstead.

A very close game Blues taking a 5-4 lead half way through the 3rd quarter but not being able to capitalise on it. 6-8 with 5 minutes left and as has happened once or twice already this year the Blues conceed a few cheap goals in the chase for the ball.

Some real + points for the blues with stacks of possession some great work in attack just missing the final pass or the final shot. John Shea in the hampstead goal was by miles the man of the match for me, some outstanding saves.

Good Luck to Hampstead next week in the flags.

Blues tooz beat Bucks but I am unsure of the score.
