Buckhurst Hill 10v6 Croydon

2 rusty teams stuttered through an even first half, but Buckhurst Hill opened up a lead in Q3. Croydon's big shooters threatened a late come-back but Bucks' resolute midfield defence closed out the result. I suspect there is a lot more to come from both Clubs this season.

Yesterday Purley A had their first game in about 25 years, away at Royal Holloway - both teams had a good mix of freshers and experienced players. It was a lot of fun and close the whole way through

Does anyone know why Hitchin got deducted 2 points following their victory against Purley at the weekend?

It's a suspended sentence from last year that will be removed unless there is a similar issue this year. Quote from Jon Cooper's results table sent via email:

Hitchin received a 2 point penalty for acting inappropriately towards referees during last season. The deduction will apply to this season (2014/2015), and will be revoked if good behaviour is shown towards referees throughout the whole season.
