Many thanks to Northampton - who have agreed to play the flags match as a double header league and flags. Top guys.

Reading "A" 9 - Hillcroft "A" 3

Fun game, with periods of good lacrosse from both teams, scrappy at times with both teams racking up a lot of penalty time! Cheers Hillcroft for a fun game!

Bucks 12 - 9 Welwyn 2s

Good game played in pretty miserable conditions

5 -1 at1/4 time
Can't remember the rest but don't think Welwyn weere in the lead at all; may have reached a 7-7 draw at one stage

Don't think that was the case, Blues had a team together and were happy to play

Not true.

Blues had plenty of players available earlier in the week when Croydon conceded the game, then, back end of the week Croydon decided they could field a team and wanted to play the game.

By that time the 'tooz had lost players to the 1's and many of the team had made other plans.

Spencer 3's 12 - 2 Cambridge Uni

Late starting and reduced to 15 min qrts as Cambridge had traffic issues getting into London. Once the game was going it was closer than the scoreline suggests with Cambridge a mix of above average Div 2 players mixed with less experienced.

As far as I know Croydon wanted rearrange the game for a double pointer next year because we weren't sure we'd have the numbers - but Blues weren't happy about doing that, so the game was either going to be played or we would have to concede.

So we worked hard and managed to get 10 players available to play, but when Friday came around we were told Blues didn't have a full team and so didn't want to play - so yeah now it's a double point game next year.

I'm as disappointed as you are that we didn't get to play today, but what's done is done, I'm looking forward to a very competitive match next year!

Ouch. No need to be rude!

It was a fun game, good natured throughout, very nice bunch of guys. Welwyn never really got going, but EG had some great finishes.
