12-6

thanks to pompey for travelling. Its a shame both teams can't fight for promotion this year.

Bombers 2s 13-0 southampton tridents

mixed up the teams at half time and played a scrimmage. Much more fun and beneficial for both teams. Thanks to southampton for travelling. A good day for bombers Lacrosse.

Blues 2nds 8 vs 2 Croydon

Croydon turned up with 10 men, soon becoming 9 due to injury in the 2nd quarter... However we played brilliantly against a talented and well filled Blues squad, holding them out and only conceding 2 goals in the 2nd half despite most of the game being played around our goal! Brilliant fun to play and well enjoyed!

some interesting results today. Too bad the semla tables weren't updated this week.

Unfortunately i didn't get to play today, but heard that spencer 3 took mr. Balentine's epsom by one.

East 2 is too tight to call with one week left.

Really hoping that london uni can get a decent team to their game in against northampton :)

Bucks 6-7 Reading 2s

Yes wildcats!

Thanks to Buckhurst Hill for a cracking game and excellent hospitality, the game was enjoyable and well played and tight throughout with both teams having their chances to win it in some glorious sunshine. Game had the luxury of two refs both of whom had good games and kept the game flowing well. Cheers.

Both keepers were solid and had good games, as did both defences. Buckhurst Hill are an excelllent and friendly outfit and if this game does put them down then I'll be sorry to see them down, though i have no doubt they'll be back up again soon if they play like that.

Definitely a game worthy of its billing. Thanks a lot to Bucks for having us!

The Reading and Bucks game was nip and tuck throughout, never more than one goal in it.

Bucks lead 1-0 at quarter, Reading led 3-2 at half and then I think it was 4-4 at three quarter. A great game, Bucks are a great team and it'll be a shame to loose them from this league. I hope to see them back in a years time.

Blues played well vs the 10 man Croydon to be 4-1 up after the first quarter. Croydon seemed to get more fight after the injury. Blues could not capitilise on their many chances. Real shame about the weakened Croydon side in probably my last competitive game (refereeing next year if all goes to plan) shame I can't make the return leg next week.

Blues now secure in 2nd I think. Regreting the draw away to reading 2 and the transport nightmare that cost us away vs bucks or we could have given Cambridge a real run for their money.

It has been a good season in E1.

Marhams pitch has become a building site apparantly... and due to committments they couldnt travel to us. Dont know this means in terms of playing the game, but it may be too late in the season to reshedule. Just have to wait and see what happens in terms of the points if we dont get the game played.

Blues 13 Welwyn 6

Hard fought game. Welwyn travelled with several younger players and gave them free reign to play and learn. The Welwyn LDOs deserve a load of credit for what they've done there. If this is the future of English lacrosse, its going to be a bright one.

I may play a few games if required but we have a pretty decent 16 year old keeper coming up so would be a shame to stand in his way.
