Looking for a team near West London

Postby LivTeamJones26 Thu Aug 12, 2010 10:36 am

Recently moved back down south after spending my Uni/semi-unemployed years at Liverpool and would like to find a team nearby. I live in Maida Vale, Hampstead is my nearest club but they appear to be quite difficult to get hold of, can anyone help or know of any other teams not too far away that might be interested in a D-pole?

Cheers

Welcome Back!

The problem with hampstead is that they tend not to train, a decent bunch of guys if a little yank heavy. However there are lots of other options in London.

Best way to find clubs is:
http://www.southlacrosse.org.uk/gmaps/mens.html

These are the current training sessions over the summer.
http://laxforums.co.uk//viewtopic.php?f=6&t=13035

I suggest that you try some of the training sessions out and pick the best match for you.

Drop me a PM if you are interested in coming down to the Blues Scrimmages on Wednesday nights.

Maida Vale, eh? It's only a 35 minute train journey from Paddington to Reading..........

Spencer would be a good shout for you. Very friendly club, 3 teams so guaranteed playing time every week and easy for you to get to. Jump on the Bakerloo line to Waterloo then a few minutes on the train to Earlsfield.

If you'd like to come and meet the Spencer lads come and join us for training on Wandsworth Common this Sunday morning, 11 - 1, no obligation.

Click here for a map of where were are training at the moment: http://www.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&h ... 19763&z=16

A few people have had a bit of trouble finding us because you can't see where we train from the road but if you can get to Muir Drive on this map there is a gate there and you'll be able to see us. You can walk from Clapham Junction in 15/20mins.

Hope to see you there.

London Unis is good, also because they don't play in BUCS, you don't have to be a student to play for them
