Quite True Ian, I for one would much rather play against the good teams like Spencer 2/Northampton rather than the weaker teams in the league. It all depends on general availability at the club which was good last week and is not so good this week. 38 players available last week and only 31 this week. We can't leave the 1st and 2nd teams playing with 11 and 10. It has been a harsh start to the season 6 away fixtures on the bounce is never going to be easy, but should be plain sailing after Christmas as we are at home almost every week.

Does anyone know what is happening with East Coast? Have they actually played a game this season?

A bit of a joke really, considering how tight the top of East 2 was last year.

Early in the season, but quite a difference between the top and bottoms of East 1 and East 2 with respect to games completed and scorelines. East Coast and Blues 3s unfortunately have only 1 game played so far out of 4 (not including flags). Personally, I'm looking forward to the second half of the year, with many more home games, or games close to London.

Reading 2s season will pick up. I don't think we have had a single game where we have got out anywhere near the team that won that East 2 last season. When we do I think there will be some very different results. W

ould have loved to have seen Spencer 2s promoted as well from last season but those are the rules at the moment. With the growing strength of the top E2 teams maybe it is time to start lobbying for a 2 up 2 down system between those leagues.

I think the second half of the season will be alot better. Alot of the teams in East 1 (not sure about East 2) have players that are going through the process of applying to uni. With the majority of uni open days being on saturdays the younger players wont be playing in matches, this could be the reason why some teams arent performing to their ability and are having to forfit so much. I know this is the case for hitchin A at the moment. With the uni applications pretty much over after christmas break we could see East 1 getting alot more interesting :D
