Games this weekend.

Postby Mat P Mon Feb 06, 2006 8:45 pm

Big game in the Prem, Purley Hampstead. Really could go either way, i'd pick Purley due to that win over Hitchin last week think they may just take it. I'll also go with Spencer over Reading.

Aber all the way.

Blues 2's over Hitchin A, hope its a better result than our game with Hitchin!

Am i gonna back us over Hillcroft............of course

Bristol Sharks v Swindon
Southampton v Portsmouth (home advantage could be key)
Swansea Hawks v Goucester

Obviously I'd like to think Bath Uni can take Oxford, but in all honesty I think the best we can hope for is to try to limit them and keep it respectable. Hopefully sub 5 goal difference if we get on it and play properly, if not, could be lots and lots.

I'l agree with Dommobath
Swansea v Gloucester will be close game but if Gloucester's shots can hit the net (unlike ours) then they should hav a chance, keeper is pretty slow but then Swansea do hav a pretty good fast break which works well. I'l go with Gloucester thou, make the battle below Oxford more interesting

Yeah, i'm calling him slow. I'm in an arguementative mood this evening!!
Just trying to wind up as many people as possible. Think thats 5 now. When I get to 10 i'l stop.
Its only cos I havent got any cash and cant afford to go out and get drunk.

I'd go with Reading over Spencer. I think Reading will up their game, like they did after the loss at Bath, Penarth felt that backlash.

However, a good tight game is always fun to play/watch

Agree with pretty much everything else.

I have to be honest and say I am not convinced Purley will beat Hampstead this weekend. My Lacrosse predictions have been better than my Rugby ones (Hillcroft beating Purley by 3 - actual was by 2 and Purley to beat Hitchin). I am going to back Hampstead this weekend by 4 goals. Should be a cracking game though.

I am also going to back Spencer against Reading - I thought the improvement in the team which played us a fortnight ago was very tangible. This will be very close though and a draw would be a great result for us - I think. But no - I am backing Spencer by 2 goals.

I think Gloucester will take it given their increasing discipline; shame it didn't take hold from the off otherwise they might have been giving oxford a run for their money? Also I think a draw might make things quite interesting/beneficial for us

Think you will probably be right here, but I am praying that Herts beat Northampton! It would really help us get past them in the league!
Come on Comets you can do it!

im quite shocked to see northampton so high, there performance agaisnt us wasnt anything special and they only just beat us, when we had 10 men.

unless they had decent players missing, they had 15 players on the day i cant explain it.

Am backing Reading, EG and Blues, as normal, what can i say faith is blind

On the topic of Aber vs Warwick on Saturday, i wish i could be there, but the boys shall be in my thoughts - I think that we can at least give them a good fright and run for their money, Aber all the way

Come on Boys, I believe in you, i know you can do this
