Bad shafts

Postby UNClax Mon Apr 04, 2011 2:14 pm

If you can't decide on a shaft then never choose with a really nice and fancy grip because with little leagues the kids just whack and hack with their sticks so it will be ruined after the first game

That is very true, above, I play at a U-14 Level and I play defense with a $40 STX Amp long pole. The head on that stinks by the way. I put tape on the d pole and it is great! Fancy grips just rip off as they are getting hacked at in the youth level. While I am a big 13 year old and I can pretty much dominate in the strength category it is still important to have a good stick with good fundamentals. The game isn't about wrecking the attacker, it is about playing a good solid defense.
Hope I helped
Jax
