I keep finding my whole squad deselected! Not sure when it's happening: I've not had time to monitor the team that closely this last month. Basically I pick my team and a few days to a week later the whole lot are benches. I'm sure that never used to happen?

We are halfway through the First Round of the Play-offs, so I thought we should revisit the scores on the doors

Some great games played yesterday, whoever had Jeremy Noble did well (3,7) 10 Points! For a Middie!

Would have been even better had he not been benched as unlikely to do as well as my others :(

Sorry to hear you're retiring. I think you're just worried I'll overtake you next year! :p

UKLF I won't let you retire from this... because next year I am going to beat you!

Here are our Bristol League standings:
BristolUni
Rank Team Pts
1 Rotisserie 721.58
2 graneya 527.38
3 rp71288 499.52
4 Timmy B 426.97
5 ChopperSquad 414.29
6 monarch87 345.9
7 RustyGate21 345.15
8 JakeNoden 321.65
9 Keal 217.25
10 Wall Defence 138.84

Eat that up! I hope you consider my challenge for next year.

You can stand down when you beat me next year. Until that point i'll reject your claim:

BristolUni
Rank Team Pts
1 Rotisserie 773.99
2 graneya 592.68
3 rp71288 544.09
4 Timmy B 449.97
5 ChopperSquad 417.29
6 monarch87 380.06
7 RustyGate21 369.15
8 JakeNoden 345.65
9 Keal 239.05
10 Wall Defence 172.04

I finished with more points than you in an (arguably?) more competitive league.

Might have been a different story if I hadn't lost Pannell and Galasso to injury early in the season...

You can clearly see that from the other people's total points that they performed highly too. (far better on average than they did in your league)

There are only a certain number of points available, 4283 of which were consumed in our league and 3574 of which were consumed in yours. That means that there was actually MORE potential to reach a higher point total in your league.

We did 7 full rounds of draft before allowing people to pick from the pool so there was no case where anyone could simply "select" the best players. Admittedly though, being students does allow us A LOT of free time to follow college lacrosse.

That's gotta hurt, two first round picks essentially.

Eventually... all this chat will lead to you playing again next year to prove me wrong.

Quoting stats from last year where you beat dan. This year Dan put in more effort (and had two brutal injuries by the sounds of it) and was much closer. Who's to say he won't overtake you next year?
Seems like next year is shaping up to be the most competitive league ever and you're pulling out for fear of what may or may not happen!

It's all very easy to quit while you're winning. Put your money where your mouth is, play it next year, and we'll find out for sure.

7 Full Rounds of the draft... wow!

we did the full 14 Rounds, it took ages and was a pain in the butt

You also seem to have missed the point there. You made the point that I could've picked up all the best players, and I countered it by saying that draft rounds were held... you know as well as I do that your picks beyond round 7 aren't going to stick in your roster more than a week or two at a time anyway.
