Penn State are a much better team now than at the start of the season

Jeff Tambroni is one of the best developmental coaches out there

PSU vs Hofstra next week should be a good one

He's from another planet; better check his birth certificate. Hopefully there'll be a rematch in May with John Lade able to make him play with head down.

Maybe this is always available & I should pay more attention, but I'm impressed by the detail and scope of this match report/blog http://games.insidelacrosse.com/game/in ... use-orange

Rob Pannell is technically very proficient, most commentators on him reference his "text book technique" his fundamentals are rock solid which allow him to keep his head up and concentrate on decision making rather than his defender or protecting his stick.

As for IL coverage, NCAA Lacrosse is a sport not a game

Real time stats
Live in game blog
full articles on the game
live coverage via webcast or TV

There are a lot of things we could do in this Country to promote our little game without great expense just using some enthusiasm and initiative

YouTube (Aussies produce a weekly highlights how of their State League in Victoria)
Writing match reports for Club/Team websites
Writing for Lacrosse Talk & ELA Website
Getting results and stats reported in a timely manner so Saturday evening local sports coverage could have information available.

We used to get results in the Daily Telegraph on Monday mornings - ( I haven't seen that for a while)
We should be getting results posted in local tabloids and free papers who are always looking for content

Promotion and Public Relations is a weakness of ELA and the game as a whole

eg:
The England Lacrosse Teams ridiculously low public profile during last years World Championship due to the paranoid outlook of their Head Coach.
The decision to hold a scrimmage vs USA behind closed doors while every other Country were happy to play in front of everyone and enjoy the festival spirit still beggars belief.

It is the opposite of marketing and could be used as a case study on how not to do it

Anyway the game rolls on apparently there is a BNC tomorrow... sssh! don't tell anyone

You *should* be alright if you only book it until 11. Typically they last just under two hours with all the breaks for quarters, timeouts and halftime, so 2 and half hours is safe. You'd better make sure you'll be able to keep it on after that for a bit though if it goes into multiple overtimes.

Edit: also make sure the game actually starts at 8.30 and it's not just coverage.

Minimum 2:30 hrs

Although the game is only 60 minutes it is stop clock and on national TV and they like ad breaks to sell stuff

There could be weather delays, injury delays, TV timeouts or Overtime

Maryland vs Virginia went to 7OT a couple of years ago
