Re: NEMLA Match Reports
Sheffield University 11-5 Norbury
Sheffield University’s NEMLA team continue to look strong amongst this year’s Prem 2 competition. (1)The side raced out to a commanding lead against 6th placed Norbury in their Stockport cup semi-final this weekend.
(2)American Lacrosse the Pond import Will Lehman looked dangerous in midfield, dodging and causing slides from midfield for Sheffield University. Tom Bracegirdle was also dominant at the face-off, controlling the ball and supplying Sheffield University with the possessions they needed to win the game. The students looked relatively unchallenged in taking down an 11-5 victory
1 - Norbury took the lead, twice in the 1st, and it was 6-4 at one point, before Uni ran away with it in the 4th.
2 - Norbury also played a compact 6-man zone which stifled the Uni attack and left them bereft of ideas. There was lots of dodging, but it was ineffective against the zone until the game became stretched in the final quarter with the teams trying to claw back/finish the game.
Does Tom Roche watch lacrosse, or just look at the score and make something up?
Life is tough. It's even tougher if you're stupid.

Yeh Norbury
Yeh 6-man zone
Tom obviously can't be at every game and has to rely on 3rd hand accounts
I remember Stockport once claimed one of their players scored 17 goals in a game
not bad for a face-off middie in his last game for Stockport

Re: NEMLA Match Reports
Also, Newcastle vs Cheadle Hulme was the second game of the day but it reported as "The opening tie"
Whilst it's good to see regular reporting of lacrosse it needs more accuracy. Perhaps, clubs should publish their own reports and then Tom or someone at the ELA edits them together to create an accurate picture.

Exactly what I was getting at. People watch these games, 2 teams are respresented. Lots of people to approach to paint an accurate picture for those who couldn't attend.
