NEMLA Premier 3

Postby gazmanofhull Wed Sep 12, 2012 9:57 am

NEMLA used to send out a contact sheet at the start of each season but I haven't seen an updated one for a while so does anyone know who to contact at City of Stoke LC?

Any questions about Stoke, give me a shout, I'll be able to get a hold of the fixtures sec/captain for you.

Cheers

I'm thinking of a weekend away with the wife which would include a day trip to Alton Towers. Can you recommend any good hotels, restaurants nearby, possibly in Stoke as my great grandmother used to make pottery and we fancy some of the museums too.
I was once part of the winning Pop Lacrosse team that defeated Wigan in the 1992 Greater Manchester Youth Games.

is it really as grim as every one makes out?

and what are the 5 towns stoke is made up from?
League restructure I told you so 10/3/2011(looking good on this one)
Prem division to two leagues will result in the prem division failing and being combined with Nemla 22/3/2012
the proposed restructure to 8 teams in each prem league will only last a couple of years until it has to be restructured again due to teams dropping out. 13/12/2012

Looking at about 250,000, but the Newcastle-Stoke conurbation bumps it up to around 400,000. Or were you after the average BMI of the populace?

It's not so bad, I read somewhere that it has the highest tree density of any city in the country. Although the view from the bus station resembles any Eastern European city circa 1990.

Its actually 6 towns that make up Stoke on Trent: Burslem, Tunstall, Hanley, Fenton, Longton and Stoke.

From living here, I have little experience of the Hotels - The Moat House is about best though apparently.

We also have McDonald's that are as good quality as the rest of the country, perhaps even better; sadly a lack of Burger Kings though. You should make sure to try an oatcake for breakfast...the cornerstone of any healthy diet. Other than that.....a few good steakhouses, country pubs, and curry houses.

Plenty of museums, mostly pottery based, surprisingly!

Should anyone happen to check that list (as found on chavtowns.co.uk) and look at the number 1 spot, I would like to preemptively say on behalf of everyone at Hull LC... 'no comment'

Its a good job Oldham arn't playing this year in P3 or that would have been 4 of the top 10 worst towns in england.
