They grew between games against us! First tiny, then two weeks later, regulation size!

They were regulation size last week and the pitch was in great condition.

Apart from the goose faeces it generally is a nice pitch. The creases however were marked out with the diameter as 3yards, not the radius. Made for some interesting clears, etc.

And made even more interesting by the fact that the back V of the goal was outside of the crease. We had quite a few defenders fall over the goal that day!

Heaton Mersey 9 - 9 Cheadle

Q1: 2-1
Q2: 1-3
Q3: 1-4
Q4: 5-1

GOTW didn't disappoint, very evenly matched teams and a good preview of Flags Final

Richard Heighway (Mersey/Scotland) was missing for Mersey along with attacker Chris Battersby
Cheadle were at full strength

Cheadle had a Goal disallowed by calling a timeout seconds before #34 Steve Shanahan shot and scored what would have been the winning goal

Cheadle were 8-4 up after 3Qs before Mersey stepped up the tempo in the last Q led by Dave McCulloch with 2 of Mersey's 5 last Q goals.

#15 Martin Patterson (Cheadle) was MVP scoring 4 Goals & 1 Assist

Special mention goes out to Phil Pearson & Dan Arnison who refereed the game and did a good job calling it.

The game was a physical battle but never got out of hand

Shots: 37-31 Mersey
Shot on Goal: 22-20 Mersey
Saves: 13-11 Cheadle

3rd Q was turning point for Mersey again, they outshot Cheadle 13-7 but only had 4 SoG to 6 from Cheadle and lost Q 4-1
last week vs Stockport 3rd Q cost Mersey as they lost it 5-2

It should be a very close competitive final, with the team who can win the face-offs and GB battle being favourite to win.

Game On

Hull 12-1 Chester

Great effort by Chester to get a team out despite losing all of there Staffs Uni players due to a BUCS game in Lincoln!

We perhaps should have won by more the way we started the game, but a wins a win!

Despite losing 12-9 to CHLC Notingham should stay up on head to head results assuming Norbury and Steelers both beat CHLC

We shall see. Season now over for Notts. re build for next year

Unless my calculations are off I make the 11-7 result for Boardman v Sheffield the result that clinches the title for Boardman.

Boardman 4 pts ahead with Sheffield 2 games in hand. Even if they with both and we lose our last game v Norbury we would be level on points. As we've won both games head-to-head we would finish top.

I'd like to say a massive well done to the lads!

Many congratulations Boardman & Eccles on clinching a hard fought Premiership 2 title. To beat Sheffield & Poynton home and away in doing so was no mean achievement. Best of luck in the top division next season.

You should be going for the Double with the Junior Flags Final as well

unfortunately Prem 2 only have the Stockport Cup and won't be main event on Flags Festival Saturday :(

Good luck in Final and in Premiership One next year, great season Image Image Image

Anyone know why York conceded to Oldham? I assume it's because their uni term has finished and all their guys went home on Friday? Last I heard, Oldham were renting cars to get there.
