cheap defender lax head?

Well, im getting a new pole and i was wondering why on earth heads are so expensive versus the shafts? Unfortunatly im an unemployed teenager whos just had a Vienna lacrosse tour to pay for! i was wondering if there were any good reasonably cheap heads on the market. Im pretty new to the game so the strength of it isnt a huge deal but will need to be pretty slash happy :)
