Postby Delmonte Tue Oct 13, 2009 6:33 pm

Hey,

I came across this on a facebook group and i was interested in seeing what other people thought of it.

Simple and effective or plan silly?

It's practical and a good idea, but I doubt it will give you the same sort of feel as playing against a wall or with someone else...

and by the look of it, it could easily snap...

or if you miss the rebound it's gonna come back round, and either smack you nice and hard from behind, or the cord will end up strangling you...

looks like a lazy-mans toy to me...
fight, dress your wounds, then fight again...

Looks pretty sound. Obvious possible problems stated above such as how strong it will be and also how tricky it might be. It's also pretty limited, if you throw it to practice long ditribution and the elastic is of a decent strength it come back at you at a pretty decent pace.

I agree though, it's very hard to find somewhere to play wall ball where i am too so it seems pretty useful. However it seems a bt pointless for shooting. You can't shoot from range with it and if you're shooting from that close why not shoot 5 and then fetch them, or even shoot 1 and fetch it, he is only maybe 5/6m out.

I actually like this, and like Hickey said, there's next-to-no places to play wall ball in private in Canterbury... you're at risk of having your ball stolen by little 7 year old pikeys with fags hanging out their mouths... my garden is long enough, and i'll get the ball back! No more hopping over the neighbours fence or forraging through the rose bush by the back fence...

I'm guessing by the fact they don't quote their international shipping rates online that they're going to charge you an arm and a leg. Can anyone who's already emailed them let us know??? If it's hefty some of us could arrange a group order...

All the variations go from roughly £7 to £15... not bad imho!

better yet... does anyone know if anything like this is available from a UK seller??

Good for people without walls, or more specifically those who have a wall but want to add a slightly more dynamic aspect to proceedings - the shooting work looked like a good work out.

We used to use the prison wall within the Christ Church grounds - a very fine wall

I had thought about that but wouldn't it be in the way? (The car park?)

Old Sessions was built pretty recent Loopsyboy, there probably used to be a fine wall connecting to the prison next door which Old Sessions now does :)
