Saw it on Saturday at the Volunteer conference. Still had content to put up, but it looked good. I've been looking all day but still no sign. :)

Looks good, much easier to navigate and look at than the old one.

BUT

from a brief trawl, you wouldn't even think that lacrosse is played in NEMLA or SEMLA, and it's barely mentioned as a University sport. It's either Elite or INTO.

Wouldn't mind seeing:

A club directory
Last seasons tables
Links to SEMLA/NEMLA/Bucs
Dedicated club news page?

Hopefully a work in progress for the offseason!

Having seen the pitch for the new site at the Volunteers conference I do know there is much functionality that will be rolled out over the next weeks, months. There will be pages for each club, and there will be a system to put club news up on the site. The dedicated club pages will form part of a club directory/finder system.

I believe that last seasons tables will be pulled in from the existing source.

I didn't hear any specific mention of links to SEMLA/NEMLA/BUCS, but I can't believe that those won't appear.

The 'Results & Fixtures' tab in the Team England section just lists 10 games from the Euros in a random order without specifying if they're Men's or Women's matches or whether the start time is BST or local Dutch time

Could do with tweaking in the next couple of days?

First impression is it looks a lot better than the last one. If the above mentioned things are implemented over the coming weeks it can only be a good thing for people interested in lacrosse and using it as a first port of call.

A tad late but nicely timed with the Euros, too, IMO.

Not sure if this is official feedback but it's as good a place to leave it as any...

Great looking site with modern navigation. Addition of video feature is great and aligns better with overseas lacrosse sites. Only query would be availability of video on iPad or iPhone. Is it all Flash or am I being a techno-gammer?

Noticed the vids don't play on phone/ipad. However this site is not the place for reviews/scores on local leagues it's an information portal and marketing tool for 'english lacrosse' - and a with the Euros happening alongside the launch- an awesome job.

True and the website looks great. Very professional and modern, a much better advert for the game than the previous site. As a general information site and marketing tool about lacrosse in the United Kingdom it works very well. The coverage of the Euros has been fantastic.

However I can't find links to the SEMLA site or the site that has been used for the NEMLA tables and results from last season and I think they should have these. I suppose it is the off season and therefore not a priority but I hope there will be more of a focus on the domestic games after the Euros.

One of the big debates recently has been about how we bridge the gap between the very amateur approach of club games and the intense focus of elite lacrosse and, while it is only a small part, more professional and organised coverage can contributete to this.

There is still lots to come from the site....
It will be done in phases, but the site went live so that it could be worked with the Euros as the old website wouldnt have coped

one step at a time....
"Train to win, Play to win" "Shoot first. Ask questions later"

"the way to beat a tight crease is a quick stick"

It's not the team with the best athletes, it's the athlete's with the best team

Kicking an old thread..

Just seen this 'How To' type Handball video, would be nice to see the ELA put out something like this.. if there isn't already?

Doesn't need to contain all the rules, but a simple video covering the basics in under 5 minutes would be great.. as a University Committee member, I know we'd find one useful.
