If you play midfield and you want to watch a player to model your game on....
Look no further, get a copy of any of Matt Abbott's (Syracuse) games in 2008 but especially the Final Four.
He plays wing on the face-offs
He picks up GBs in traffic
He plays SSDM as well as being a one man clear
He can dodge down alley or from behind and can shoot or feed with either hand.
Oh and by the way he can run all day & he's fast
Good job he plays for Cuse otherwise I'd hate him
Coach Desko refers to him as "The Ditch Digger" because he does everything for his team apart from drive the Bus.
Rumour has it, he's taking his public service license this summer.
If you want to see how the position of midfield should be played get a DVD of Syracuse 2008 and watch #3.
Just do what he does and you'll be winning games in no time.
Tewaaraton Trophy Winner 2009 (if he stays healthy)

The first time the SU Squad did the Gasser Test only one player was able to complete it
Matt Abbott was that man
Try the test and see how you do?

Was watching this years final again yesterday and you have to admire his one man clearing. It's really positive to see a middie that can do it all in the world of Div I specialized players.
Out of interest, where do you obtain game tapes UKLaxFan? I've only managed to get a hold of sketchy copies of this years final and the last world championship final so far and watching low quality youtube vids gets old fast.
