UK plays by International Rules and box heads are legal. If you guys really want to try to find the best head for face off why not search the interent for US tips. You will find that most face-off guys in the US use something different. Why? Because every face-off guy tries to be different. How would the same head work for different techniques unless you are trying to copy each other. I you did that then you'd end up with absolute stalemate!

Well, probably not, becuase its all down to the player then and his personal skill, with no 'stick' advantage.
(unless you're both pulling the same move, with the same head, at exactly the same time and with the same speed, then it would be a stalemate!)

I was looking for a face off head and came across the e-lacrosse magazine article about face-off heads.

Have a look:

i wonder if the ball would split into two..

box heads are quite flat when lain on their sides, so your already at an advantage as your side wall is already closer to the ball compaired to a "normal" field head. get a box head and face off with it, for the easy win.

Head

i use an Brine E3. i like it because its stiff and sturdy, but can also be flexed. its is a little on heavy side though but it had gone through a lot and still not broken.

Warrior is releasing the blade 2.0 in the autumn. the origninal blade was apparently brilliant for face. this new one has asymetric sidewalls to supposedly achieve optimum flex. ie one sidewall has a different pattern to the other

lol - I refer you to my post on the Stiffi in the Equipment forum, for some more great comments and sexual advertising..o as well as names of drugs etc....

..whats the RRP going to be...£70, £80 maybe?!?

It could be a great head, but if i try one out I'll be making sure I pay no where near that kinda cash!

Warrior are relaunching the Blade head as the Blade 2.0, BUT they will also have a separate version the Blade F-OFF with asymmetric side walls in silver, as the name suggests its specifically designed for face-of.

A lot of the Warrior 2008 equipment is now being shown around the Warrior Summer Camps in the US. I don't believe anyone has yet seen samples of the new 'special edition' MacDaddy's in PINK. Come with free pack of calf bands in white (can be dyed to own spec)

Heads - Stiffi, Blade F-OFF, Blade 2.0, Outlaw and 2 new goalie heads, the ODB and the Wall (box head). The Finalizer, Savage II and Laxstar are discontinued.

Gloves - Pink MacDaddy (limited edition), Superfreak II and Shocker. SuperStar II and SuperFreak are discontinued.

Shafts - new composite the Villain, Woodrow (wood finished Krypto Pro) and a Kryptolyte shaft with TACKtical grip.

Protectives - Updated version of Players Club series, updated version of MLL series.

Footwear - Updated versions of Speed Burn (claimed to be the lightest lacrosse cleat), updated detachable cleat (claimed to be the lightest detachable) and with the detachable the ability to alter the stud/ spike configuration depending on traction required.

Helmet - New Venom........ with air bladder and utilising the same mask as the Brine Triumph.
