if you don't stretch to a klyte then the platinums seem pretty tough, not specially light or specially strong but pretty good value for money.
F series shafts were good first time round but no guarantee they're the same as before, however I think personally you have to be pretty unlucky to break shafts unless you're using a basic ali one (STX steel is a basic ali alloy) they do go, definitely, but not that often.

The new F15's are nothing like the old ones... If you can get an original one then you could quite happily chop down a small forest before it breaks. still have mine 8 years on and only the smallest of dents.. compared to other shafts that break like glass

make sure its the international one.
looking under golf equipment also seems to drag up a fair few.
it might also be worth searching for 'exogrid' (the technology they use to make the genysis) as there might be some unbranded shafts being sold as that. there was a longpole for $60 including shipping to the UK not too long ago.
Currently M.I.A. - I'll be back.

Nah,
It was $60 for longpole including shipping in the states. To the UK was around $20-30, so total price ended up being £58.60 door to door (and yes i too got one!)

CUT DOWN A D POLE... are you crazy? Is this to play longstick middie? Then don't cut your stick, you lose the whole reason/advantage of having a long stick... and get all the negatives. 6ft of stick is for ground balls and to play settled "D" that is the purpose of the LSM. If you want to be over 40in (offensive stick length) then having anything over that that isn't 6ft makes you more prone to getting checked or stripped, espically if you choke up on the stick which I don't ever recomend. In every case that I have seen a D stick shorter than its longest length it has not been an advantage (unless you are 9-13yrs old). Hope that helps and I also just got a new F15 and bent it in the first game I used it... boo brine!
