Just be slightly careful in them. I found a slight flaw with these, they hold the cup on the outside of the shorts (not the inside) which means there is a slight possibility that they can leave you slightly exposed (as I've found to my own misfortune).
I hear that the shock doctors hold the cup in the inside of the shorts.

Correct. And you can run in them as well.

I found that the nut hut is fine for protection position wise as long as you make sure the shorts are pulled up but that'll be dependent on peoples heights and builds I'd have thought. However, the box that it comes with breaks after a decent shot hits it, possibly as part of its design to brace the impact, this is annoying though as you then need to replace, I'll be getting a cricket box and using the nut hut shorts and hoping it won't break next season.

i recall being told that the nutt hutt is no longer in production due to issues with how similar the design was to the shock doctor.
myself, I just use a cricket jock strap and a box and have never had any issues

The only time he takes his foot out of his mouth, is to put the other one in!

I can't fault the Bike proflex cup+shorts I bought in Sport Authority for about $20.
Flexible rubber sides mean you can run (not that I do much of that).
