nah Oxford have a seperate mixed team, meaning they get to train mixed twice a week, which deffinately shows in their game.

The girl in goal actually quite good, i'm sure she doesn't need the cricket pads.

The whole point about the mixed league in my opinion is that it should be a good laugh where its easy for guys n gals to pick up lacrosse and get into the game. Unfortunately it seems that on the whole in the league games there is soooo much argueing that this isn't often the case.

Is there anyway that a full revised issue of the rules can be sent out to clubs and have one person responsible for ensuring that the club adheres to the rules. ie someone says YES i know we play boundaries, and we will stick to the rules, or no body contact etc.

That way we can get back to the fun game that is mixed. I have a couple of girls on my team that are happy to play full contact mens lacrosse with takeouts - but agree that when they are on the pitch playing mixed it should be mixed lacrosse that is played

Perfectly agree with that Dan. Mixed lacrosse is meant to be a social game, fun for all the family. Cardiff play their mixed like that, hence why we turn up with boombox and megphone as we're their for the banter as much as the lax. For games that are important ie games against Swansea there is the odd bit of chatting back but thats just people competitve edge. Its all left on the pitch and we go and socialise in the bar after.

J-Lo wrote:BTW - Are you allowed to shoot outside of the fan (provided there is no-one around) in mixed games? as yesterday was the 1st time we'd ever heard of this, also i thought we play boundaries in mixed?

Don't worry about old Picket. He can more than handle himself, even if it didnt't appear so before the game!
You can't possibly have sympathy for a man who drink s a bottle of scotch the night before, then continues drinking (accidentaly supposedly!) Jack and Coke in the morning.
Yeh, we also suck big style at mixed, but its all a bit of a laugh really isn't it!
