Re: RIP Chris Sanderson
Oh wow. I honestly thought that Chris would do the unthinkable and win his battle. What a man, a top athlete and a top top person.
Like Buckers, I got to chat with him at the Worlds and he was a great guy. Inspiring.
It's such a small world - he lived and opened a lax shop in my old stomping grounds of Pennington, NJ. I then met him on the streets of Manchester at midnight after the Canadians had enjoyed the delights of Manchester city centre.
RIP Chris.

Good shout DH
An enormous prescence between the posts.
I read an interesting article about Chris which to me summed up his bravery and desire to win:
Just before the 2010 title game, Canada’s players warmed up for at least 15 minutes before the U.S. side made its appearance by marching in military-style formation behind the Stars and Stripes from an adjacent field. Chris’ competitive spirit rose up as he put on his game face while standing alone on a sideline.
“You guys going to show up and play?” he yelled. “Come on, come on.”
