As you know Rochdale goalies spend the summer recuperating on a cricket field or playing attack with Red STX Vipers from 1998.

Re: England Box Lacrosse training
agreed: Rochdale play box on astro with upturned goals and a very tight pitch. Works wonders for off-season fitness. Best with 3 teams, winner stays on to keep it fast. Closest the ball gets it back at all times.

Re: Flags Festival Weekend
It's set to the biggest and best event yet. More vendors, more players, more fans. The pitches are prepared, the food and drink ordered and hi-viz vests handed out. I hope everybody has a great weekend and the weather holds out!

Lots of new clubs trying to establish themselves - wouldn't this have happened no matter what the structure was?

Re: The Great Big Bad Durham Thread
Back on the old days where Sheffield and Notts were the main NEMLA Unis's and before BUCS we'd get on the phone to our contacts at other clubs and find out who was looking at going to University the next season.......then bribe people with drink when we saw them. Don't need money.

Re: Flags Weekend
Rochdale LC had a scrum-down last night to discuss the work gone in so far. Quality vendors, more inside space, more volunteers to ensure things run smoothly and the pitches are looking in mint condition! Watch this space. RLC

Re: The Great Big Bad Durham Thread
Good at lacrosse - yes Opportunity to play abroad and study - yes Would you turn that down? Have some rude obnoxious and jealous brat call you names? I would suggest it would be water off a ducks back. Why not have Durham as your benchmark and headhunt the current UK Sixth Formers to come to your in...

Re: The Great Big Bad Durham Thread
If this Forum had been around 10 years ago we'd all be moaning that some clubs in NEMLA had 2 or 3 Americans making it unfair for our beer-swilling comrades in other teams. Didn't stop Ben Mitchell nutmegging an all-American who later played MLL. (he went home 2 weeks later) :D . It's a privilege to...

Re: Durham Uni v Stockport ! Any chance ?
I would travel to watch the game. As UKLF says his thread is not about trying to find a way of beating Stockport but finding the best team in the UK. Stockport are now respected not vilified in most club-houses.

Re: Results 12th February
Rochdale 9 - Sheff Uni 8. Only saw the last few minutes as Oldham and Rochdale A & B combined to scrimmage after so many weekends off. Rochdale steamed 2-0 in the first few minutes, my next look in Q3 was 4-4. Then we heard the Tangers had gone 1-up. A failed invert gave a break to Tangers whose...

Re: Referees
When was the last time a non-panel referee got a call to see if they'd fancy a refresher/learn some new skills/ get to the know the experienced guys? The issues as i see it are that we put people through basic training to be thrown in to the deep-end as 'home-refs'. They might not have the skills in...
