Re: Results - Saturday 26 November 2011

Here's a quick bit of Lax Trivia for the next time it comes up in a pub quiz?!?!: In the Spencer v Hampstead Flags Quarter Final on Saturday 19 November 2011, if Hampstead had called a Stick Check on the scorer of the winning goal in Sudden Death, the Referee [me in this instance] would have said &...

Re: Results Saturday 01 Oct 2011

Hillcroft A beat Northampton by 1, not sure of the score, something like 6-5 though.

Pretty tough game and was well controlled by the ref who was one of their lads. Great to be back in the season!

Re: Referees

The structure of the German referees programme is due to the hard work of Ken Galluccio over several years. The benefit that Ken had was that he was starting with a blank canvas and their was no preconceived notions of the value of officiating. The leagues all accept the programme structure and as ...

We've cancelled training tonight due to the scumbags.

Not really worth the risk given last nights festivities.

Re: Get to Know ArchLevel Lacrosse

Just been on your website and it all looks good. Had a look at the camps you are aiming to do and the prices you give are below Pricing Information - Minimum of 15 players is required - 15 to 19 players = 35/player - 20+ players = 25/player Do you realistically think that people can afford this?? I...

Re: Summer Lax Training

Hillcroft will be training on Clapham Common Tuesday nights from mid May I expect but we'll confirm on here when we start.

All are welcome and we'll normally head for a couple in the Windmill afterwards.

Completed my order yesterday. Will cost $66.90 including shipping for a custom one-off wrap. The sales guy Joe was great all the way through with checking exactly what I wanted and estimated delivery time is in ten days or so :D Get some pics on here when it arrives if you can. If the service is re...

Re: SEMLA East vs West Play-off Game April 2

Why do Cambridge bother playing in SEMLA? They might as well just join/stay in BUCS since it's just for a dos. Perhaps they want to play more lacrosse than just Wednesday but can't commit to playing in the premiership as the standard of the next year's team is unpredictable (like when Oxford went u...

Big game!

No offence to London Unis but I really hope Northampton can stay up, after a few years competing for promotion seems a huge shame to get relegated.

Re: Kukri Playing Kit

Some very fair comments on Kukri, Unfortunately for them poor service and quality has lost them an order. The problem with the likes of RadSheep, UA and Nike is that it takes longer and it's not as easy to see how the product will look and the price it will cost etc. Not much to account for when yo...

I'll second that. He played against us at our place and was a real and constant threat when he played in midfield or attack.

Re: Best lacrosse stores in boston

There's a Brine/Warrior outlet which was just getting started when I was out there about 18 months ago. It was a good size store and had some pretty decent gear but wasn't massively cheaper than normal places, was good being able to see the stuff though. It's on facebook from what I remember and the...

Just out of interest regarding the whole academic side of things, does anyone know if it is difficult to get onto a master program at Durham. I have a friend who did the same masters in Business and Finance but had a 2.1 in History from Durham. I only ask as I've had a look at this Sieverts Chap an...

I'm quite surpised at Hillcroft A getting to the final, but then after looking at there fixtures i can understand as on all flags game they played there 1st team didn't have a game. I'm not saying they have cheated or anything, it's just strange how there have beaten teams such as London Uni (2nd i...
