I would suggest that Timperley's astro's (sand based) would have been booked anyway ... and frost makes them lethal ... U19's games have been cancelled beacuse of that.

There was a female .... Ginny Capicchioni, who was the first women to play in a men’s professional lacrosse league, and, if I'm correct, was the first female to be selected to the US men’s national team?? I really can't see lacrosse being the first sport to challenge the 'gender discrimination' rule...
If I remember rightly it's 13max for cups, each player having played 5 league games or more this season. Not sure if that last bit still stands, if it was for the finals only or what. Im sure some teams haven't even played 5 games this season.... The existing rules are that a player must have playe...
Having observed many junior club structures/ strategies it would appear that some get it right better than others. However, in a game as limited in size and development as lacrosse, it is often a temptation to take the easiest route i.e. to concentrate on keeping the better, more talented players in...
To my knowledge, the first ever head of any note from Warrior was the Revolution, which was around 10-12 years ago. The Evolution then followed shortly afterwards. The Evo Pro and Revo Pro series were first launched around 2005. Various small unofficial changes were made to both the Evo/ Revo and th...
Come out of Cloud Cuckoo land, League lacrosse will remain a Winter sport, lacrosse though will become a year round activity. Its name will not be changed and nor should it, the name does not seem to be impacting on the growth in University Lacrosse. That in itself may expand the elitist misconcept...
I just want to play lacrosse really! We've only played 3 games out of 6 due to other teams lack of players etc, it just makes it harder for us to get a consistent squad out each week as everyone is just waiting for the other team to cancel on us! Wasn't one of the main aims of the restructuring ......

Haha ... not so funny as the game I saw when it first came in. Player lost the head from his d-pole, then checked a player at least 2-3 times with the shaft. Not only should that have been a 30 sec penalty, but each time he used an illegal stick should have been a penalty .... would that be a 1 min ...

Don't laugh too loudly ..... football did it!
Can the pom, UKLacrosse and dalglish please tell me why the previous structure worked in their opinion? Because I can assure you as a member of a new club it did not. Ourselves and Newcastle found that the only clubs who regularly travelled to either of us was each other in the old structure whilst...
Personally I would guess that the number of players who have seen any benefit from the restructure is minimal. Most are playing less competitive games than before. The fact is that the restructure is NOT better than the previous one, though some can argue that it will benefit the future of the game....
Sorry to sound like a broken record but the old structure didn't work. New clubs often started up in the lowest league against B teams and C teams. The only games they got to play were away games because nobody would travel to them at their ground. The B team and C team mentallity were stifling dev...
I think the ringer issues is a false call. the A and B sides of clubs change a lot over seasons as players are dropped or unavailable so you can play very different sides. we have a c team that can have up to 20 odd players on the roster but by the time the first have nicked a couple from the A the...

Just shows how much you followed the game Pom .... score was 13-2.
I did hear comments that 'he's spending a lot of time just watching the game' .... dispels that theory, or maybe your
arithmetic is poor?

So if it is classless to push for a score so high in lacrosse isn't that the same as telling Usain Bolt to slow down during a race so the gap is narrowed??? I'd understand where you are coming from to say it's unsportsmanlike if the winning team were trying all sorts of crazy shots, trick shots or ...

A quick glance at the BUCS Prem North, Durham beat Sheffield Uni 39-0 (gulp) on Wednesday Has anyone tried getting them into NEMLA? A new team that has Prem 1 potential and probably won't struggle to raise a squad........ Rumours abounded at the time that one of the reasons for the NEMLA restructur...
