Re: Results 9/3

Good weekend for the Wilmslow firsts, winning away at Boardman. Possibly going to be too little too late but we seem to be showing more spirit; shame its only come at the back end of the season. Our A team had a solid home win against Timperley. Very close at the start of the game and their uni lads...

Re: Results 2/3

You've done well the last few weeks; really pulled away from the bottom of the table. 3 wins in the last 4 isn't it?

Think we play you next week; should be a good game.

Re: Results 2/3

Just looking at results, seems that Mersey's A B & C teams are all through to finals with the firsts to play Cheadle next week.

Great stuff from the club as a whole.

Re: Results 2/3

Not sure this is relevant on stockportlaxforums, but Poynton beat Wilmslow in the prem. Shame for us as one I'd hoped we could pick up points from, especially as Boardman seem to be stringing together a good run. Wilmslow a beat Cheadle in the cup, looks like we've got Mersey in the final. Looking f...

Re: Results 23rd Feb

Strange isn't the word!

Is it just a 1-0 loss if you concede?

Bloody hell, 29-0, that can't have been fun.

One hell of a result for Leeds, even if it is a funny little village over the hills.

Re: Should we move SEMLA to the Summer?

I recall our 'founding partner' Erik Foust trying to get a Summer League started in the North some 10 years ago. Lots of 'interest', but little commitment. More recent attempts following the World Champs, also faded away due to lack of interest and commitment. It's difficult to judge whether this i...

Re: Should we move SEMLA to the Summer?

I'm always surprised that no organised summer league has ever started over and above SEMLA / NEMLA. Whenever there's a scrimmage there always seem to be rucks of players (of all levels) keen. I'd be keen to know how many players would be up for it and how many could be dragged along. Even if a few c...

Re: England Lions Denver 2014

All the best with this - Denver would be great to get to. (No chance of a pass personally but whoever goes will have a blast - good luck and enjoy). Just a thought but can you get a squad in BNCs? Planty of quality players in that 35 yo+ bracket. Reckon there would be good mileage in Masters Lacross...

Re: League Republic

A month later and that score's still not been changed, in spite of it being such a glaring error. It's an embarrassment; how much has been spent on websites to look pretty while the content's ignored? Up to date league tables should surely be a minimum expectation. Sunday league or even 5 a side lea...

Re: Possible league restructure proposals

There aren't often many transfers between clubs are there?

We often see quality players go to the big clubs to play in the prem (or boost England chances) but it surprises me that more players don't leave those bigger club's A Teams to play elsewhere for similar reasons.
