Re: Another NEMLA restructure?

I understand D1 colleage coaches recruit athletes then teach them how to play? Of course all the good players in the past have come through junior programmes, it was the only way to access the game.

Re: Cheshire Lacrosse - Restructure proposal - Urgent

So everyone here wants the County structure to be more successful with several great ideas - so why not take this offline and get together.
Or am I missing something?

Re: Stalling

the sporadic interpretations of this rule make it a nightmare all around.
IMHO - you are either stalling or not stalling at any point in the game not just if you are winning towards the end of the game.

Re: Lacrosse feature on Sky Sports

So if they'd have shown Stockport or Mersey there would be queues outside your clubhouse of new players.....?? Remember that 99% of the UK have never seen a lacrosse game so the comments about how the game 'looked' are more to do with you guys wanting your mates to think you play a really tough game...

This months Mens; Fitness magazine has quotes from an England U19 conditioning coach. He also advises using a lacrosse ball on tight chest muscles between works outs.

Re: Referees

I'n not sure if it's because i spend a bit more time in the lower leagues of NEMLA but there seems to be less dissent this season than previous years. Maybe this 'bring your own ref' rule seems to be working - my team certainly seem more 'flexible' when it comes to the odd dubious call - the guy has...

Take your pick from the 1998 World Finals: Marachek, Gaits v's Millon, Hubbard, Powell et al. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsJeYqkUWSI&feature=related Bad picture but probably one of the greatest games ever played and the heroes of us 30-ish year olds! Didn't really appreciate it at the time ...

Re: Fading light

I suppose we are going off topic slightly here Pom BUT. The game is spreading for the good. I don't have a crystal ball but my prediction is that in 10 years there will be half the clubs in Manchester and most major towns having a club is on schedule. Those clubs will have junior programmes. The jun...

Or god forbid have juniors play on a Sunday in a competitive league. You know so they learn to win/lose like in other sports.

It's Europen Championship next summer. Don't fancy the Ozzies, NZ, Canada and US teams coming back to blightly twice in two summers Why not focus on getting the little things right - like getting teams out and a proven development programme at our clubs then surely the big stuff will happen as a con...

Re: England Player Watch 2012

I do know that Kyle Standiford who played for Durham Uni, Newcastle Knights LC and Yorkshire last year is planning on trying out for D or LSM. True. Bennett Standiford is also considering it. As far as I'm aware both have English passports (Kyle definitely does). There will be a lot of competition ...
