Reasonable idea, but would take some organising... The spread of teams makes it interesting... Surrey - Blues, Purley, Spencer, Hillcroft Kent - Croydon (playing in Chislehurst), Canterbury, Cranbrook (?) Essex - Buckhurst Hill Sussex - East Grinstead, Univ or Brighton (?) Hertfordshire - Hitchin &a...

Don't worry Mr Stanford... they won't keep the South of England down! There's got to be a field in the South West of England that can be used.

Denham Pope (Purley) and Alan Keeley (Spencer) would take some beating as long-stick midi's go.

John Pordum at East Grinstead also has an exceptional work-rate. (I could be accused of being biased on this one, but I'm sure someone can back me up!)

The answer would appear to be there are no trials... perhaps the England training squad & England Academy are the basis of the 2 sides. Surely it will be a comfortable victory for Cheshire if the 2005 British Nationals are anything to go by. Especially when you consider Jamie Gallagher and John ...

I'd like anyone who aspires to playing for the South of England to come along to the trials. At least then you can measure yourself against others, and set yourselves goals to achieve next season. These trails are open to all, but the squad for British Nationals will be the best we can get. To be fa...

South of England Team Trials

We are aiming at getting the best possible South of England team selected to compete in the British National Championships in Manchester on 29 & 30 April 2006. In the last tournament we finished 4th, and we would obviously like to improve on that position in 2006. The teams which compete in this...

Personally, I don't think I ever said we would walk the division etc etc. The discussion previously was whether or not we should be placed into an East Division 2 (as was being proposed at that point in time, but never came to fruition). Our performances this season so far suggest that we'll be comp...

With regard to the incident - if it is intentionally a head-butt, or charge with the head by the ball carrier, I feel it should be called unnecessary Roughness/Unsportsmanlike Behaviour' - however, if it is mostly shoulder by the ball carrier, with a hint of helmet, I'd say that's a bull-dodge and r...

Buckhurst Hill 8 - East Grinstead 7

1st Quarter
Bucks 2 - EG 3
2nd Quarter
Bucks 7 - EG 3
3rd Quarter
Bucks 7 - EG 4
4th Quarter
Bucks 8 - EG 7

2nd Quarter let us down - a good response from our lads though. Buckhurst Hill played tough, and made most of their chances.
