Re: Results - Saturday 11 Jan 14

Colchester beat Brighton 11-10. Very good game between two fairly evenly matched sides. Thanks to the excellent referee as well!

Colchester 6-11 Bucks
Not sure the quarter scores, Bucks never behind though and in control throughout, Colchester would have benefited from having a sub or two (again...)

Unfortunately Colchester are somewhat more than partially uni reliant and I think that will be even more the case next year... I live in hope that ten graduates will move back to Colchester over the summer though!

That may well be it unfortunately. I was keen to play, but we have a lot of students who would rather go home for the holidays early than stay around for an extra day.

As much as I wish that were the case we definitely lost... :( A somewhat depleted Colchester lost 12-4 to a spirited Welwyn. Re: Girl's Lacrosse in Schools

Any idea how this came about? I've introduced lacrosse into the school I work in and the girls are really keen, with many having joined the Essex University team for weekend matches, and I know that they'd love to have something like this at school.

Re: Results 19/11/11

Colchester conceded to Bristol. Think it was a combination of a lot of players missing and the sheer distance. We didn't fancy going over with 9 or 10 players. Shame as my brother lives there and was willing to see how being a lacrosse goalie differs from being a football goalie...

Re: Results - 12/11/11

Colchester 1 - 10 Spencer 2. Pretty disappointing display from us today really, although once warmed up our stand-in keeper playing instead of our stand-in keeper made some great stops towards the end. Grammar? Applied appropriately I believe. Maybe needed a semi-colon rather than a comma after the...

Re: Any Teams Need a Goalie?

Rumour has it that the Colchester 'keeper' is at his wits end and his incredibly short career could be over soon so expect a vacancy over there. Sweet, you could show him how a real keeper plays. Plus it's only the "home" games you'd have to travel to. All the rest of our matches are Lond...

Colchester Ladies

Essex Blades Women's have just entered into the south league. They will certainly be looking for non-uni players to help boost numbers so if there are any budding women from north east Essex or Suffolk who want to join a team let me know!

Do you need men or women. Only the first post made me assume men, and the second seems to assume women... If it is men I'm looking to play.

Re: Any ladies in essex/ north east london area

Essex uni does indeed have a team and we are pushing hard to transfer this into a Colchester Ladies team to play weekend games as of September. So if anyone is closer to Colchester then PM me for details. Also as a new team it would be good to get some pre-season games between us as we're so close!
