Lacrosse Events?

So I am sure I have seen this somewhere before, but can't seem to find it... is there a list of regular or confimred lacrosse events which are on for the rest of this season? Looking at running an event but don't want it to clash with anything else, or at least anything big. Currently looking at 27t...

Re: University Talent Pathway

It was really nice to find out that the timperley trials were cancelled whilst on the train to Manchester. Didn't want the tenner I spent on the ticket anyway. there is not much they can do about a frost and water loging issues other than only plan these sort of things for summer which is not alway...

Trent vs Cambridge cancelled due to weather - getting to that tie of the season already.
According to the BUCS website we'll now be playing them on Christmas Day..

Out of interest, what happened with this in the end? Find a new goalie?

Re: YCLA Freshersfest 2012

Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the tournament this year but would just like to thank the YCLA committee, and particularly Gareth, for organising this tournament again this year. Those who went from NTU (both playing and 'coaching') have come back saying it was a very worthwhile event (again) ...

Re: University Talent Pathway

I really hope that they un-earth some talent here (and to be fair, the people running the sessions aren't too bad at spotting decent players), if only to prove that decent players can be discovered and coached into international players from a late start in the game. I completely agree. Pre-season ...

University Talent Pathway

So noticed this put out by the ELA today - 'the first step on the talent ladder' . Do many universities think they'll send players along? Can't decide what I think about the £15 p/person charge yet. On one hand you want to see people are committed, I guess, but it seems a bit off to charge people to...

Re: New ELA Website

Kicking an old thread.. Just seen this 'How To' type Handball video, would be nice to see the ELA put out something like this.. if there isn't already? Doesn't need to contain all the rules, but a simple video covering the basics in under 5 minutes would be great.. as a University Committee member, ...

Re: Referee Panel unfit for purpose?

I personaly as a club captain would not expect a player to travel to an away game to ref effectivley spending 10.30 - 6/7 out of his day to referee. for a home game its not so bad but a whole day is a big ask imho. How then do you think the panel refs feel having to spend the best part of a day tra...

Re: League north structure

Just a suggestion but ten years ago when SEMLA faced similar problems we tackled them with some 'revolutionary' ideas (at least in some people's eyes) Being a fairly lazy man, I'm a big fan of using other people's leg work.. shoot me. ... we introduced the 'point for turning up' to stop some clubs ...

Obviously they would say something like this... time will tell: Our Lacrosse tournament this year have completely changed structure and staff, as I know a few teams were not happy, but we have a new tournament director who has a lot of experience so the tournament will be at an extremely high standa...

Re: Crease Violation & Goalie Interference

I thought that in all leagues now, both teams had to supply a referee and therefore was surprised that there was only one referee on the game that you were speaking of. To reiterate, in my opinnion (for what it's worth), a game should never go forward with less than two qualified referees. The game...
