Re: The Great Big Bad Durham Thread
Having played Durham they would probably be a mid table prem 1 team. Offensively they always get a couple of really good players, but defensively their pretty week in comparison. I think their scholarships restrict the matches they can play. As if they were injured during a nemla game then they woul...

Re: University Talent Pathway
Anyone know if you need to go to the trial that is for your catchment area? as durham is a trek compared with manchester. I was mainly going for the coaching rather than aspirations of making the uni squad.

Re: Shot clock in ncaa mens lacrosse
they've already got a shot clock for this pre season, unless what your asking is will they keep it for the spring? The NCAA has already been sped up a lot this season with the new rules they have put in, getting rid of the horn, faster restarts etc im quite looking forward to this season actually

of course it is, if you dont class Sheffield as north then neither is Manchester as Sheffield is only a handful of miles more southernly.

Re: Crease Dives
no, crease dives have been illegal in college/high school for sometime, and the fil/ela have chose not to adopt it and rightly so. It doesnt make the game safer as diving is still legal, just not over the crease. And personally i think diving outside the crease has a higher chance of injury as there...

Re: Lacrosse Head Design
Although I have no intention of making a head at the moment, I did get side tracked and looked into it a bit. These are all rough prices, guesstimates by the way. The cost of a mould, would be anywhere between £5000-£15000. The plastic material costs would be no more than £1 per unit, and to have th...

Lacrosse Head Design
Had some free time.....well I mean I had revision for upcoming tests so I am doing everything and anything otherwise, so I thought Id try and mock up a lacrosse head. Although a lacrosse head is pretty simple, the complexity of the shape make it quite hard to make using Solidworks (the program I use...

Re: England SR Men Scrimmage May 27th
Off topic but to answer the earlier question, Alex Burkhead, one of the Durham players from this season is on the Charlotte Hounds roster. Don't know if there were any All-Americans though. I guess that means, If you have played in the Bucs Northern Prem for one of the past 2 years you can say you h...

Re: Northern Uni teams wishing to enter NEMLA
Im not thinking of entering a team but it might be worth putting together a rough estimation of costs(entering the league, transport, pitch hire etc). It might give teams an idea to work out if its financially available, as most uni students can't afford union fees nether mind extra club fees

Re: Lightest shaft
having both the Tri-Kor and the Kyrpto-Pro, I feel I can comment on these shafts. Although the tri-kor is slightly lighter i would recommend the kyrpto-pro, as iv used them both about the same period of time. While the warrior remains in good condition the tri-kor has quite a few dents from quite mi...
